BWH Hotel Group, better known as Best Western, is expanding its global footprint.
The chain announced this week that it had added new hotels in all of its market segments, stretching from budget to luxury, across Asia, Europe, and North America.
“Despite the challenges of recent years, BWH Hotel Group has a strong foundation that will help us continue to expand our portfolio. We’re excited to add these properties and will look to grow our brands in key travel destinations around the world,” said Larry Cuculic, President and Chief Executive Officer, BWH Hotel Group.
Let’s take a look at the details of Best Western’s latest expansion!
BWH Hotel Group Expands Across the Globe
According to the chain, it has added “nearly 200” hotels in Asia, Europe, and North America throughout the past year, and it’s planning on adding another 90 before the year ends.
In addition, the chain said it’s made strides in adding to its portfolio of “soft brand hotels,” which include properties falling under the BW Premier Collection, BW Signature Collection, WorldHotels Collection, and SureStay Collection umbrellas. It says it’s added 60 such properties over the last year.
“Soft branding allows owners to maintain independence and uniqueness while being connected to BWH Hotel Group’s global distribution network. Soft branding will continue to be a major focus for our company, as we expand in target markets and countries in key regions,” said Brad LeBlanc, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, BWH Hotel Group.
Here’s a look at some of the properties BWH has added this year:
Travel is clearly rebounding in a big way — especially on the leisure side of things. And in response, it seems like every major hotel chain is announcing major expansions in their global portfolios to respond to the demand.
We love when travelers have more options to earn and redeem Best Western Rewards points for stays across the globe, and this expansion from BWH Hotel Group is nothing to sneeze at, with hundreds of hotels being added already this year and dozens more to come before the clock strikes 2023.
