Great news, Chase cardholders: the issuer is renewing 2 popular partnerships with Lyft and DoorDash.

These partnerships can provide quite a bit of value for those who have 1 or both of these services in their area. There are a few changes coming that you’ll want to be aware of — we’ve got all of the details covered right here for you!

Chase and Lyft Partnership

Longtime Chase cardholders know that in 2020 the issuer created a partnership with Lyft that would allow cardholders to earn more points on rides.

While this benefit is limited to Chase cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points (e.g., the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, etc.) and was supposed to end on March 31, 2022, it has now been extended through March 31, 2025.

So, if you’ve been enjoying earning 5x Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent  — or 10x per dollar with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card — on Lyft rides, you’ll continue to do so going forward.

The downside, at least for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders, is that the complimentary Lyft Pink membership, which includes benefits like discounted rides and priority airport pickup, will not be renewed. Of course, you can continue using Lyft Pink, but you will need to pay the monthly fee of $19.99 to do so.

Chase and DoorDash Partnership

Similarly, many Chase cardholders have been enjoying a complimentary 1-year membership of DoorDash DashPass, which offers free delivery and reduced service fees for orders over $12.

Like the Lyft partnership, the DoorDash benefits were scheduled to expire at the end of March but have since been renewed for another year. This 1-year membership perk applies to those who have the Aer Lingus Visa Signature® Card, the British Airways Visa Signature® Card, the Disney® Visa® Card, and the Iberia Visa Signature® Card, as well as those who have any of the Chase-issued, co-branded IHG, Marriott, Southwest, United, or Hyatt cards. Simply enroll by December 31, 2024.

Those who have the Chase Freedom® card or the Chase Slate® receive a free 3-month membership.

Beyond that, as of April 1, 2022, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders now receive a $5 monthly credit toward DoorDash. While you receive the credit monthly, each $5 credit expires after 3 months, allowing you to bank them into $15 increments that could use once per quarter.

Either way, if you’re someone who orders from DoorDash with any frequency, you’ll be able to save $60 each year by using this new monthly credit.

Final Thoughts

While losing the complimentary Lyft Pink membership for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders stings a bit, perhaps we’ll see that benefit replaced with a new perk in the near future.

In any case, for cardholders who tend to use rideshare or meal delivery services regularly, these 2 partnerships can save a good amount of money, and we’re certainly happy to see them extended.
