It’s been an excellent weekend for cheap deals to Latin America and the Caribbean. First, we spotted great deals to the U.S. Virgin Islands, and now, we’re seeing extremely low fares to Costa Rica starting at just $200 round-trip.

Here’s what you need to know.

Fare Details

This is a deal on JetBlue from New York (JFK) to San José (SJO) in Costa Rica.

Similar to other JetBlue deals, the cheapest tickets are in Blue Basic. This is JetBlue’s most restrictive fare class and does not permit changes, free seat selection, or free same-day changes. However, beginning in September, Blue Basic passengers can bring a carry-on bag and a personal item.

Play with some dates on Google Flights and then book directly with JetBlue or an online travel agency (OTA) like Expedia for the best deal. You may find cheaper deals with lesser-known OTAs, though we advise against booking through these platforms, especially if you need more flexibility should you have to change or cancel your ticket.
