Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Delta Vacations is a consolidator travel provider under Delta Air Lines that offers bundled airfare and hotel bookings for a discounted price compared to purchasing those elements separately on your own. For SkyMiles members interested in booking their next getaway, Delta Vacations is offering several incentives when you book a vacation package by June 30, 2022.

The Offer

When you book a Delta Vacations package through June 30, 2022, you can either earn a SkyMiles bonus or a Delta Air Lines gift card good for future travel, all depending on how much you spend on your vacation package.

  • Spend up to $1,499, earn 5,000 SkyMiles or a $50 Delta gift card
  • Spend $1,500 to $3,999, earn 20,000 SkyMiles or a $100 Delta gift card
  • Spend $4,000 to $6,999, earn 40,000 SkyMiles or a $250 Delta gift card
  • Spend $7,000 or more, earn 75,000 SkyMiles or a $400 Delta gift card

As you can see, even by purchasing a cheap vacation package, you’ll receive either 5,000 miles or a $50 gift card, no matter how cheap your vacation is. On the upper end of the spectrum, if you spend a whopping $7,000 or more, you’ll have the chance to earn the maximum incentive under this offer which is 75,000 miles or a $400 Delta gift card.

It’s worth noting that your package needs to have a hotel stay of 2 or more nights, though you aren’t obligated to actually utilize the hotel. Depending on the price of your package and the cost of the airfare on the Delta website, some users may wish to simply purchase the package because it provides them cheaper airfare, with no intention of staying in the associated hotel.

You can choose which item you’d like to earn — miles or a gift card — depending on which promotion code you enter during the booking process:

  • Use code SMEARN75K to earn SkyMiles
  • Use code SMGIFT400 to earn the Delta gift card

Your miles or gift card will arrive 6 to 8 weeks after your trip, and while you need to book by June 30, 2022, your travel can be any point after that through the end of the schedule, so this is a great offer to take advantage of even for trips into next year.

Final Thoughts

If you plan on booking through Delta Vacations, make sure you’re entering one of the promotion codes to earn extra miles or a gift card depending on the price of your booking. You’ll want to look at pricing to see what makes sense for you, but keep in mind that even the cheapest packages will earn extra miles or a gift card.
