Delta Air Lines’ partnership with Uber is now available, giving you the ability to earn SkyMiles on Uber rides and Uber Eats purchases.

“Our new partnership with Uber not only expands the value of loyalty and makes it easier than ever for our members to get rewarded – it also opens the door for new audiences to find reasons to love SkyMiles, no matter how often they fly,” said Prashant Sharma, vice president of loyalty at Delta.

Here’s everything you need to know about earning SkyMiles on your next Uber ride or Uber Eats order.

Delta & Uber Partnership Now Live

Delta Air Lines announced its partnership with Uber on April 22, replacing its previous partnership with Lyft.

Here’s a breakdown of how you’ll earn SkyMiles on Uber and Uber Eats:

  • 3 SkyMiles per $1 spent on Uber Reserve trips
  • 2 SkyMiles per $1 spent on premium rides like Uber Comfort and Uber Black
  • 1 SkyMile per $1 spent on UberX rides to and from airports
  • 1 SkyMile per $1 spent on restaurant and grocery orders of at least $40 with Uber Eats

Plus, if you have a Delta SkyMiles American Express Card, you’ll earn an additional 1x miles on top of what you’ll earn above.

Here’s how to link your accounts:

  • First, open your Uber or Uber Eats app and tap “Account.” Make sure you have the latest version of the app.
  • Then, head to the bottom of the page and tap “Partner Rewards.” Here, you will see “Delta SkyMiles” as an option. Click that button.
  • Tap “Link to start earning miles,” and you’ll be prompted to log in to your Delta SkyMiles account.

However, it seems like not all Uber and Uber Eats accounts have the update. It appears that there was a waitlist for the partnership, and those on it can start linking their accounts today. Full access will roll out to non-waitlisted SkyMiles members starting April 24.

SkyMiles members can head to delta.com/uber to link their SkyMiles and Uber accounts.

Bottom Line:

Delta’s partnership with Uber isn’t exactly a surprise, as Delta announced it at its CES 2025 keynote speech in Las Vegas earlier this year. Delta is smart to link up with Uber, as the rideshare company says that 15% of all Uber trips either begin or end at an airport.

Final Thoughts

Delta’s partnership with Uber is an easy way to earn SkyMiles. This is especially true if you use the service frequently for things like food deliveries and airport rides. Make sure to check your account to see if you’re off the waitlist to link accounts and start using the partnership. If you’re not, you can enroll starting April 24.
