If you have a stack of Emirates Skywards in your account and no plans to visit Dubai anytime soon, listen up because they could come in handy when booking partner flights on airlines like United Airlines, Air Canada, and others. Best of all, you can save up to 25% by redeeming Emirates miles on these partner flights.

Here’s everything you should know about using Emirates Skywards miles to book partner awards.

Book Emirates Skywards Partner Award Flights at a 25% Discount in Economy

As first reported by AwardWallet, Emirates Skywards members can enjoy a 25% discount on economy award flights with more than a dozen partner airlines, such as United Airlines, Air Canada, and Japan Airlines, when bookings are made by March 31, 2025.

The best part is that this Skywards award discount is a fantastic way to secure reduced award rates for future travels because the qualifying travel dates run through January 6, 2026.

These are the airlines that are eligible for this deal:

  • Air Canada
  • Air Mauritius
  • Azul
  • Bangkok Airways
  • Condor
  • Copa Airlines
  • Garuda Indonesia
  • GOL Airlines
  • Japan Airlines
  • Jetstar
  • Korean Air
  • Malaysian Airlines
  • Qantas
  • South African Airways
  • TAP Portugal
  • United Airlines

The offer applies to one-way and round-trip itineraries and is available for new bookings only. Discounts do not apply to taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges, which must be paid in full. A booking fee of $10.10 per flight is also applicable.

Is It Worth It?

You might think Skywards miles from Dubai-based Emirates can only be redeemed on its own flights, but you’d be mistaken. You can redeem Emirates Skywards miles for award flights on its own flights in addition to several partner airlines. Although Emirates is not a member of the 3 major air alliances, it does have individual partnerships with specific airlines such as Air Canada, Japan Airlines, and Qantas.

For example, here are several economy deals where you can save 25% if you book by March 31, 2025:

Fly from San Francisco (SFO) to Los Angeles (LAX) for as little as 6,000 Emirates Skyward miles. This flight is operated by Emirates’ partner United.

Another option is to fly from Chicago (ORD) to Charlotte (CLT) for 9,000 miles.

Transatlantic flights from Washington-Dulles (IAD) to Lisbon (LIS) in late March on United using Emirates Skywards miles can be booked for just 19,500 miles and $208 in taxes and fees.

Meanwhile, if you want to redeem United MileagePlus miles, the pricing can be more than double the cost, making this Emirates’ economy award deal a potentially great value.

Hot Tip:

Fortunately, there are many ways to earn Emirates Skywards miles, allowing you to take advantage of this offer.

Final Thoughts

Typically, Emirates Skywards miles are not regarded as the most valuable airline currency when considering which airline miles rank among the best. That said, through March 31, you can book economy awards at attractive rates with Emirates Skywards, flying on more than a dozen partner airlines, including United.
