Hoping to get to the Middle East next year? While these fares aren’t operated by the best airline out there, they’re significantly cheaper than you’d usually find. First spotted by Going (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights), these flights will get you to Doha in business class for just over $2,500 round-trip — and you’ll get to experience Qatar’s Qsuites while you’re at it.
Let’s take a look at the details.
Fare Deal — Details
If there is a route you’re looking to book, you’ll want to act quickly. We don’t expect this pricing to last.
Class: Business
Routes: Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), and Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Doha (DOH)
Note that the transatlantic portion of this trip is operated via Condor, which is certainly not the most ideal way to get across the ocean. You will, however, be on Qatar’s Qsuites from Frankfurt (FRA) to Doha (DOH), which is still a 6-hour flight. The lowest rates we found were from Boston to Doha.
You’ll also see discounted pricing for departures from New York (JFK) to Doha (DOH).
Not to be outdone, Saudia is offering rates from $2,891 for Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Doha (DOH) flights. We flew Saudia earlier this year and it has an excellent 1x2x1 hard product, though its service is less-than-stellar.
Best Ways To Book
Booking via a third-party site will often save you a few dollars on your flights, which may be worth considering. However, be aware that in the event you need to change your flight, you’ll probably have a headache coordinating through an online travel agency (OTA) rather than directly with the airline.
Still, if this is what you choose to book, you’ll want to use a travel credit card that’ll maximize your spend. The Chase Sapphire Reserve®is excellent for this, as it’ll earn you 3x Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent. We value Chase points at 2.0 cents each, so you’ll be netting a 6% return on all travel bookings when making travel purchases with this card.
If you’ve otherwise decided to book directly with the airline, The Platinum Card® from American Express is your best bet, as it’ll net you 5x Membership Rewards points per $1 spent (up to $500,000 per year). We value Amex points at 2.2 cents each, so you’ll earn an 11% return on your booking with this card.
This business class fare is a steal if you’re looking to head to Doha sometime next year. Although it’s not the fanciest way to cross the Atlantic, you’ll still be able to spend a decent amount of time in Qatar’s fabulous Qsuites — and it’ll cost you just over $2,500 round-trip! If interested, we suggest you book very soon as these fares likely won’t last long!
