North America is gearing up for the FIFA World Cup to arrive on the continent next year.

Now, FlixBus, a major provider of intercity bus travel worldwide, has announced that it will serve all host cities by the time the FIFA World Cup kicks off in 2026, offering travelers a reasonably priced option for traveling between matches.

Here’s what you need to know!

FlixBus Will Connect All FIFA World Cup Host Cities

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 headed to North America, FlixBus will provide a reliable and affordable way to travel between matches, which will span 3 countries: Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

FlixBus will offer service to and from all North American host cities by the time the World Cup starts, which include the following:

  • Canada: Toronto and Vancouver
  • United States: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle
  • Mexico: Mexico City and Monterrey, with Guadalajara being added next spring

While not as quick as flying, traveling by bus allows travelers to save a significant amount of money, skip the airport entirely, and arrive directly in city centers. Plus, FlixBus coaches offer Wi-Fi, restrooms, power outlets, and seats with plenty of legroom.

FlixBus says it has a proven track record of offering an alternative transportation option for sports fans attending major events around the world, so travelers can expect the bus provider to be ready for the influx of travel headed to North American shores in 2026.

“Soccer is a sport we support around the world, and fans already know and love our brand. Many have traveled with us to matches across Europe, India, and beyond, and now they’ll be able to do the same in North America — with an affordable, reliable way to follow the game they love,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications at Flix North America.

Travelers can plan travel and book tickets at the FlixBus website or mobile app (iOS, Android). Note, too, that tickets can be booked with Greyhound, the sister brand of FlixBus, which offers service on the same greater network.

If you’re interested in booking in advance, FlixBus says tickets for summer 2026 matches will be available in December of this year.

Final Thoughts

FlixBus will offer service to every host city across North America for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be held in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. This is great news for travelers who don’t mind taking some more time traveling between cities but want to save a whole lot of money by forgoing the plane tickets that we expect to be very expensive around match days.
