Starting February 1, 2025, FoundersCard benefits in Las Vegas will look different. The Caesars Rewards benefit is going away, and you’ll get Wynn Rewards perks instead.

This shakeup has 2 implications for U.S. travelers — both those who enjoy casino status in Las Vegas and those who used this status to enjoy carryover perks in other programs. Here’s what you should know about these changes.

FoundersCard Drops Caesars for Wynn

FoundersCard is a membership service that provides numerous perks, including shopping and travel discounts. It also offers elite perks with several hotel chains, such as Hilton Honors Gold status. To be clear, FoundersCard isn’t a credit card.

Until recently, FoundersCard provided Caesars Rewards Diamond status. However, that has ended.

Starting February 1, though, you’ll be able to enjoy Wynn Rewards Platinum status. Perks at this tier include priority slot service, a 20% bonus on your slot points, and complimentary self-parking. You’re also eligible for up to 30% savings on stays at both Wynn and Encore Las Vegas.

However, members matching to Wynn’s Platinum status through FoundersCard don’t get all of the perks enjoyed by those who earn Wynn Platinum status the old-fashioned way (spending money). FoundersCard specifically highlights that you won’t enjoy the $100 spa credit or $150 birthday dinner benefit without qualifying stays at Wynn. Additionally, you won’t qualify for the Holland America complimentary cruises unless you earn Wynn Platinum status the typical way.

That said, you can unlock additional benefits by completing a 2-night stay at Wynn Las Vegas. Those extra perks include the birthday dinner credit, credit for the spa or salon, and invitations to “select Connoisseur Series Classes.”

Note that this perk from FoundersCard only applies to the Wynn Las Vegas. Encore Boston Harbor isn’t included. Also not included: waived resort fees at Wynn, even if you have Platinum status.

Hot Tip:

If you’re interested, a FoundersCard membership currently costs $495. You can sign up here. Unfortunately, FoundersCard won’t let you see details of the membership benefits without filling out an interest form and being contacted by a sales representative.

Other Happenings With Caesars Rewards Status

Many people predicted this change. That’s because Caesars Rewards has been tightening up on its status matches over the past few years.

In 2022, Caesars ended status matches from other programs if you only got status in those from a status match elsewhere. However, matching from Wyndham Rewards status continued to qualify, and you can easily get that status by holding a Wyndham co-branded credit card.

Now, that has gone away as well. Holding a Wyndham credit card no longer qualifies for a Caesars status match. The date for that change? February 1, 2025, of course. Now, you’ll have to earn Wyndham status through stays and spending to qualify for the Caesars match.

People loved Caesars status because they could match it to other casino programs, get complimentary hotel stays, and even take complimentary cruises. What this will look like with the changes to Caesars and the addition of Wynn perks to FoundersCard is unknown.

Final Thoughts

Status matches and easily getting elite perks in Las Vegas will look different soon. FoundersCard has dropped its Caesars Rewards Diamond status benefit and added Wynn Rewards Platinum status in its place, effective February 1.
