Low-cost Frontier Airlines is making a play for more flyers.

It’s targeting members of competitor airlines’ loyalty programs with a promotion that offers mid-tier Elite Gold status through December 2026 for just $69.

“This is one of the most valuable offers we’ve ever extended to frequent flyers,” said Jeff Werkheiser, senior director of brand and customer engagement, Frontier Airlines. “We’re inviting members of many different airline loyalty programs to experience The New Frontier — where they can travel affordably without sacrificing comfort or premium perks.”

Score Frontier Elite Status Through all of 2026 for $69

If you’re a member of the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, JetBlue TrueBlue, Southwest Rapid Rewards, or Spirit Free Spirit programs, you are eligible to purchase mid-tier Elite Gold status in the Frontier Miles program for just $69.

Any level of membership in the other programs mentioned is valid. There’s no status match required, and your new Frontier Miles Elite Gold status will be valid for all of next year, through December 2026.

As a reminder, Elite Gold members are entitled to the following perks:

  • 1 free carry-on bag
  • Zone 1 boarding
  • Priority customer service
  • Select preferred seats without charge
  • Complimentary upgrades to premium seating at check-in and UpFront Plus seating 4 hours before departure
  • Earn 14x miles per $1 spent on Frontier purchases, expediting the path to Elite Platinum or Elite Diamond status

Members of the qualifying airlines can register for this Frontier promo by September 9, 2025. Be prepared to present your membership information from one of the other airline’s programs.

Here are a few more terms you should be aware of:

  • You must be a current member of the Frontier Miles program. If you aren’t, you can sign up for free here.
  • To be eligible, you must be a current member of the aforementioned loyalty programs who joined before August 19, 2025.
  • Elite Gold status earned via this promotion lasts through December 31, 2026.
  • Once the change is made to your account, no refunds are permitted, and your new status should be reflected within 24 to 48 hours.
  • If you took advantage of the earlier status match specifically for Southwest Rapid Rewards members, you are ineligible for this promotion.
