While Frontier Airlines may not be the most aspirational airline for award redemptions, the airline recently introduced new routes and revamped its loyalty program. This new loyalty program made it easier for frequent Frontier flyers to redeem miles and take advantage of a new set of elite benefits.
Thankfully, you don’t need to fly on Frontier frequently to earn a healthy stash of Frontier Miles. The airline has an array of partners that you can use to rack up miles relatively quickly, and in this article, we’ll show you how.
Let’s get started!
Sign up for a Frontier Miles Account
First thing’s first: in order to earn Frontier Miles, you need a myFrontier account. Thankfully, creating a myFrontier account is quick and easy, and once you’re set-up, you can earn Frontier Miles by flying on Frontier, through credit cards, and by taking advantage of Frontier’s growing list of partners.
To sign up for a Frontier Miles account, just head over to the Frontier website and click the “sign up” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You can sign up for a free account without a Frontier co-branded credit card or having a current Frontier flight booked.
Earn Frontier Miles With Credit Cards
Using credit cards to earn Frontier Miles is one of the easiest ways to earn a mass number of miles at once. And while the airline may not have any major transfer partners like Chase Ultimate Rewards, it’s still possible to earn miles with a credit card.
1. Frontier Airlines World Mastercard (Recommended)
Frontier Airlines revamped its co-branded credit card offering in 2018 by releasing the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard®. This card offers a slew of benefits including a hefty signup bonus, a waived redemption fee, and Zone 2 priority boarding on all Frontier Airlines flights.
Plus, you’ll earn Frontier Miles whenever you use the credit card. The card earns 5 points per dollar on Frontier Airlines purchases, 3 points per dollar at restaurants, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases.
It’s worth noting that these miles are both redeemable and elite qualifying miles. This means that you can use the miles earned for free flights and they also count towards earning Frontier Airlines elite status. However, note that the earning multiplier for Frontier and restaurant purchases does not count towards elite status.
2. Hotel Partner Credit Cards
Select hotel loyalty programs — for example, Marriott Bonvoy and Radisson Rewards Americas — can transfer points from their respective currency to Frontier Miles. This means that you can transfer hotel points you earn through co-branded credit cards.
However, we usually advise against this. Hotel programs are notorious for bad conversion rates to airlines, and you’re generally better off using your miles to redeem for hotel rooms. But if you need Frontier Miles in a pinch, it can be an OK option.

Earn Frontier Miles Through Travel
Of course, you’re not just limited to credit cards when earning Frontier Miles. Here are a few ways you can earn Frontier Miles when traveling:
3. Frontier Airlines Airfare Purchases
Frontier Airlines is, indeed, an airline. So naturally, you can earn Frontier Miles by booking travel on Frontier Airlines. When booking Frontier Airlines tickets, you can use the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard we highlighted earlier to earn 5 points per dollar spent on flights, giving you a nice bonus on your Frontier purchases.
But you don’t need a Frontier Airlines credit card to earn Frontier Miles on your flight. You’ll also earn 1 point per mile flown on all Frontier Airlines flights, so if you fly on the 885-mile Denver (DEN) to Chicago (ORD) route, you’ll earn exactly 885 miles for the flight.
Frontier doesn’t sell business class tickets, so there’s no way to earn bonus miles on paid tickets. However, those with Frontier Airlines’ elite status earn bonus miles on all paid flights. Here’s how many bonus points each status tier earns:
- Elite 20K: no bonus
- Elite 50K 1.25x points multiplier
- Elite 100K: 1.5x points multiplier
If an Elite 100K member flies the DEN-ORD route mentioned earlier, they would earn 1,327 miles upon completing the journey. Plus, if the flight was $150 and charged to a Frontier Airlines credit card, they’d earn an additional 750 miles.
Bottom Line: Frontier Airlines Elite 100K members earn the most miles on paid flights.
4. Book Hotels With Frontier Airlines Partners
Frontier Airlines has a number of hotel partners where you can earn Frontier Miles in lieu of the hotel’s own loyalty currency. We’ve outlined each of Frontier’s partners below alongside their respective mileage earning rates, broken down by hotel chain:
You can earn Frontier Miles at any of Marriott’s worldwide hotel properties. The number of points you’ll earn depends on the Marriott brand you stay at, so refer to the table below to see how much you’ll earn on your Marriott stay.
Note that the earning rates are for all qualifying charges, not just the room rate.

Like mentioned earlier, you can transfer existing Marriott Bonvoy points to Frontier Miles at a 3:1 ratio. Plus, you’ll get a 5,000 Frontier Mile bonus when you transfer 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points (20,000 Frontier Miles) to Frontier.
Wyndham Rewards members can earn Frontier Miles based on their total qualifying charges. Each level of Wyndham Rewards membership earns a different number of points per dollar spent — here’s a look:
|Membership Level||Miles Earned|
|Blue and Gold||1 per dollar|
|Platinum and Diamond||2 per dollar|
While you can’t directly earn Frontier Miles on Radisson stays, you can convert your Radisson Rewards Americas points to Frontier Miles. Radisson Rewards Americas points convert to Frontier Miles at a 10:1 ratio, so 10,000 Radisson Rewards Americas points equals 1,000 Frontier Miles.

If you don’t want to rent a car, you can earn miles on your SuperShuttle or ExecuCar rides to and from the airport. Currently, you can earn 50 Frontier Miles per SuperShuttle ride and 150 Frontier Miles per private ExecuCar ride.
To earn miles on your next SuperShuttle or ExecuCar ride, just use the links found on Frontier’s “earn miles” page. You’ll be prompted to add your Frontier Miles number at checkout.
8. Buy Food and Parking at the Airport
Unfortunately, Frontier doesn’t have a dining rewards program like many of the other major airlines. However, it does partner with Thanks Again, an airport rewards program.
Thanks Again rewards its members for parking, dining, and shopping purchases at nearly 150 airports around the world. Just sign up for an account, link your favorite credit card, and make purchases at participating airports.
Then, you’ll be rewarded with Thanks Again points that can be redeemed for gift cards or transferred to airline miles at a 1.0:0.5 transfer ratio. This means that 1,000 Thanks Again equals 500 Frontier Miles.
You can view participating airports and mileage earning rates on the Thanks Again website.
Specialty Earnings Opportunities for Frontier Miles
We’re not done yet — Frontier has a couple of specialty partners you can use to earn miles when purchasing gifts, wine, and more. Here’s a look:
9. Buy Flowers, Wine, and Gifts From Frontier’s Partners
Frontier Airlines has 2 retail partners: Teleflora and Vinesse Wines. This means that you earn extra Frontier Miles when purchasing gifts or filling your home wine cellar. Here’s how many points you can earn when making purchases from Frontier’s set of retail partners:
|Teleflora||10 miles per $1 spent|
|Vinesse Wines||5,000 miles per your first shipment, 4 miles per $1 spent|
10. Buy Miles at Points.com
Short a few miles for your next redemption? While buying Frontier Miles is generally a bad value, it can come in handy if you need to redeem points right away. However, our general rule is to avoid buying points whenever possible.
Even though Frontier Airlines has no credit card transfer partners, there are a ton of simple ways to earn Frontier Airlines miles quickly and easily. We recommend starting out with the airline’s credit card and then moving some of your rental cars and hotel stays if you want to continuously earn miles.
