Frontier Adds New Routes from Charlotte and San Juan to Warm Weather Destinations

Low-cost Frontier Airlines has announced a handful of domestic and international routes just in time for the summer 2024 travel season.

Let’s look at these new routes and how you can book them!

New Frontier Routes for Summer 2024

Frontier is making a significant expansion in the Caribbean.

The airline will start service between San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic (STI) and Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI).

Both flights will operate 3x weekly. Service to the Dominican Republic starts on June 14, while Barbados flights begin on July 3.

Additionally, Frontier is adding a new route from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to Miami (MIA) starting on July 5. This route will also operate 3x weekly.

“As we anticipate an exciting and potentially record-breaking summer travel season, we’re thrilled to further expand our route map,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines. “More destinations served means more affordable and convenient travel options for consumers across the U.S., Caribbean and beyond.”

How To Book

Frontier is offering promotional fares to drum up support for the new routes when you book by Monday, April 29.

The cheapest tickets are between Charlotte and Miami and can be found for as low as $25 one-way.

However, the new San Juan routes offer some affordable deals, as Flights to Santiago de los Caballeros and Bridgetown start at just $59 each way.

Note that you must travel between June 14 and October 31 for these discounted fares. There are numerous blackout days, so play around with dates before you book. Remember that Frontier is a low-cost carrier, so services like baggage and seat selection cost an extra fee.

Final Thoughts

Frontier has been on a roll lately with new routes, but these routes might take the cake. The Dominican Republic and Barbados are both hotspot Caribbean destinations, and Frontier is offering nonstop flights from San Juan, which is easily reachable from much of the U.S.
