Frontier Airlines is in expansion mode, announcing a significant move into competitor territory with plans to launch direct nonstop service from New York (JFK) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), and Miami (MIA) beginning in April 2025.

This is a big move for the ultra-low-cost airline, which is great news for travelers because it will be competing with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and JetBlue on these same routes, so expect some competitive pricing.

Here are the details of these new routes and the attractive fares Frontier is offering for its launch.

Frontier Airlines has revealed 3 new nonstop routes from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Miami (MIA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and Los Angeles (LAX), scheduled to commence in the spring of 2025.

The significance of these new routes lies in the fact that several legacy carriers — including American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, as well as JetBlue — already provide direct service to these sought-after cities and already have a major hub at some of these airports, highlighting a distinctive strategy for the ultra-low-cost carrier.

Here is a detailed overview of Frontier’s new routes from JFK:

The recent route additions for Frontier are promising for travelers, as they are likely to foster increased competition and ultimately lead to more attractive fares for consumers.

“This is an exciting day for consumers as we once again expand our offerings at JFK,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines. “With the launch of these ultra-low fare flights to Miami, Dallas, and Los Angeles, we are increasing the availability of affordable travel to top destinations for New Yorkers, as well as making a New York adventure or business trip that much more affordable for budget-savvy consumers across the United States.”

How To Book Your Frontier Flight

In celebration of the launch of these new JFK routes, Frontier is providing low introductory fares beginning at $19 for Miami (MIA), $29 for Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and $49 for the Los Angeles (LAX) routes.
