Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

If you aren’t familiar, Amex Offers are deals that allow you to earn statement credits or Membership Rewards points for purchases you may already be making.

If you’re thinking about a hotel stay, check your American Express cards because there’s an enticing new Amex Offer for cashback on stays at Grand Hyatt!

Let’s review what you need to know about the offer.

New Grand Hyatt Amex Offer Expires December 15

From now through December 15, 2022, you’ll receive a $60 statement credit after spending at least $300 on purchases (which includes room rates and room charges) at Grand Hyatt hotels in the U.S., Mexico, and the Bahamas.

There are a few terms and conditions to keep in mind before you book. Your reservations must be made directly with Hyatt through either the hotel’s website, the World of Hyatt mobile app, a Grand Hyatt hotel, or a Hyatt call center.

The offer does not apply to any other Hyatt properties and cannot be used for purchases of gift cards, World of Hyatt points, or World of Hyatt points. The Amex Offer is also not valid for stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date. Finally, bookings made through MGM and via Hyatt Travel or Hyatt Vacations are excluded.

Several Upgraded Points staffers saw the offer on cards like The Platinum Card® from American Express, so you’ll want to check across all of your Amex cards (if you have several) to see if you were targeted for the offer. Just make sure to click Activate Offer before your purchase because you won’t get credit for the purchase otherwise.

It should be pretty easy to meet the terms of this Amex Offer. For instance, a 2-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas starts at just $218 per night for a king bed in mid-October. And a 2-night stay in early December at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort will set you back just $230 per night, which is a steal for this Category 6 World of Hyatt hotel.

Final Thoughts

Amex Offers are some of the easiest ways to wipe the charges on an expensive purchase, such as flights or hotels. This offer for $60 back after spending $300 at Grand Hyatt hotels is a solid deal, especially considering it is one of Hyatt’s higher-end brands. If you’re planning a hotel stay, make sure you add this offer to your card ASAP!
