HSBC Elite Card

The HSBC Elite card has a $495 annual fee and is sporting a 75,000-point welcome offer, earned after spending $4,000 on purchases within 3 months of account opening.

Along with this new welcome offer, the card provides these benefits:

• 5x points on travel purchases with airlines, car rental agencies, and hotels
• 2x points on dining and other travel
• 1x on other purchases
• Up to $400 in annual travel credits

• Priority Pass lounge membership
• Up to $140 in annual benefits with Instacart+
• Up to $10 in monthly spending credits toward taxis and rideshares

Redeeming points at 1.5 cents each makes the 75,000-point offer worth $1,125.

It’s worth noting that the HSBC Elite card is one of the very few credit cards still providing access to Priority Pass restaurants.

HSBC Premier Card

The HSBC card has a new offer of 60,000 points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. The card has a $95 annual fee.

Ongoing cardholder benefits include:

• 3x points on gas and groceries
• 2x points on travel
• 1x on other purchases
• Up to $60 in annual credits for TV streaming subscriptions
• Up to $140 in annual Instacart+ benefits
• Up to $85 credit available every 4 1/2 years for application fees with TSA PreCheck, TSA PreCheck by Clear, Global Entry, or NEXUS
• Redeem points at 1.25 cents each in the travel portal
• Travel, phone, and shopping insurance protections

Redeeming points at 1.25 cents each makes a 60,000-point offer worth $750.

Final Thoughts

Both the HSBC Premier card and HSBC Elite card have elevated welcome offers right now, providing 60,000 or 75,000 bonus points, respectively. To be eligible for either card, you must have a U.S. HSBC Premier checking account before applying.
