Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.
For those short on stays for their elite status, or for those that want to go the extra mile and earn bonuses on top of their already earned status, this could be a great way to make up the difference.
The Offer
For stays with a checkout between October 19, 2021, and December 23, 2021, at all Andaz properties, you’ll earn double the nights earned towards status. So, if you have a 3-night stay, you’ll earn 6 nights towards status.
You’re able to take advantage of this so long as you’re on an eligible rate (this includes most rates including standard rates, government discounts, AAA, corporate discounts, etc.) or an award night.
This offer is available to those with either World of Hyatt card or the World of Hyatt Business card, so if you’re without either of these 2 cards you won’t be able to earn the extra elite nights, though you could apply for either card, get approved, and then immediately take advantage.
Make sure you register for the offer, because without registering, you won’t be able to earn the extra nights.
Earning Explorist or Globalist Status
World of Hyatt card and World of Hyatt Business cardholders have automatic Discoverist status. Assuming you stay at only Andaz hotels for the remainder of the year, it’s actually quite easy to earn elevated World of Hyatt Explorist or Globalist elite status.
Hyatt has adjusted the needed nights to earn status in 2021:
Explorist requires 15 elite nights
Globalist requires 30 elite nights
If you stay at Andaz hotels between now and December 23, 2021, you can earn Hyatt status in half the time:
You would need 8 nights at an Andaz to earn Explorist
You would need 15 nights at an Andaz to earn Globalist
With only 15 nights required for Hyatt’s top-tier status, it could make sense to stay in an Andaz hotel just to earn top elite status.
Hot Tip: World of Hyatt cardmembers have a jump on Explorist and Globalist status with 5 automatic elite night credits each year and 2 elite night credits for every $5,000 spent on the card. World of Hyatt Business cardmembers earn 5 elite night credits for every $10,000 spent on the card.
Andaz Hotels
Andaz hotels tend to be located within major cities, though there are some notable exceptions like the Andaz Napa in California.
The properties tend to be modern, trendy, and hip and usually feature a check-in process without a traditional front desk.
Rooms always include complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, and some Andaz hotels host an evening reception with wine and other appetizers.
Final Thoughts
The new double elite night offer from Hyatt for stays at Andaz hotels can definitely be worth taking advantage of for cardholders looking to reach the next Hyatt elite level.
Andaz properties tend to be really great hotels to stay in, so if you have upcoming travel plans early this winter, you may want to ensure that your stay is booked at an Andaz!
