Hyatt is expanding its mid-tier Hyatt Centric brand in Africa with its latest announcement of a new hotel in Cairo.

Let’s take a look at the news!

Hotel Becomes Second Hyatt Property in Cairo

While Hyatt hasn’t released many details about the property, we know the 283-room Hyatt Centric Cairo West will be near major business and tourist attractions such as the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids.

The hotel will boast landscaped gardens, a heated outdoor pool, an art wall, and indoor social spaces. According to local news outlet EgyptToday, the hotel is expected to open for guests early next year.

This marks Hyatt’s second branded hotel in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, after the Hyatt Regency Cairo West, which opened in 2021.

Hyatt said the new Hyatt Regency announcement signals the chain’s commitment to growth in the Europe, Africa and Middle East regions.

“This signing is an exciting milestone as the hotel will mark the Hyatt Centric brand debut in Africa, showcasing our commitment to enhancing our lifestyle portfolio and growing our brand presence in markets that matter most to our guests and World of Hyatt members,” said Ludwig Bouldoukian, regional vice president of development, Middle East and Africa, at Hyatt.

How to Book Hyatt Hotels in Egypt

It’s unclear exactly when the Hyatt Centric Cairo West will open for guests in 2024. But you do have other options for booking Hyatt hotels in Cairo in the meantime.

The only other branded hotel in the country, the Hyatt Regency Cairo West, is a Category 2 World of Hyatt hotel. That means award nights start at just 6,500 points per night.

Hyatt points aren’t the easiest to earn. However, they’re among the most valuable hotel points out there, according to our valuations.

If you’re interested in earning World of Hyatt points, you have a few options.
