A massive new Hyatt Centric property is scheduled to open early next year in Austin, Texas.

Hyatt To Grow Its Austin Portfolio With Prime Upscale Property
The Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is expected to open for guests on February 1, 2023. The 246-room hotel spans 31 floors, overlooks the downtown Austin core, and is steps away from the Texas Capitol. There are 5 suites located at the property.
Each room will have a hair dryer from Drybar, a Nespresso coffee maker, BeeKind bath amenities, and a JBL Bluetooth speaker.
The third floor boasts nearly 2,600 square feet of meeting and event space. On the 31st floor is the hotel’s penthouse named the “Artist Residence.” This space will also be used for private events and features a full dining and living area.
For dining, guests can visit Luminaire, which will be helmed by James Beard Foundation finalist Steve McHugh, and Las Bis, which will have an outdoor terrace.
“We’re so excited to welcome guests in to experience the hotel,” said Harrison Compton, General Manager of Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin. “The team has worked hard to imbue the hotel with comfort and convenience while embodying the spirit and artistic inspiration of Austin.”
Compton went on to say that he hopes Austin residents, even those not staying at the hotel, visit to enjoy food and drinks at Luminaire and Las Bis.
This new Hyatt Centric is a World of HyattCategory 5 property. That means award nights at the property cost 17,000 points per night for off-peak nights, 20,000 points per night for standard nights, and 23,000 points per night for peak nights.
Hyatt’s portfolio in Texas’ capital city will grow further when the Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin opens in February. This new hotel gives travelers an upscale option in a prime downtown area and the ability to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points for a stay.
