Hyatt has announced key expansions of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands across the U.S., including several airport locations.

Here’s what you need to know.

Hyatt Prioritizing Airport Locations

Hyatt says it is expanding its Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brand footprints in destinations without Hyatt hotels.

The hotel chain says it planned to have an “established hotel presence” in U.S. markets without a Hyatt within 5 miles. These include destinations in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, and New York. Several hotels are currently open to guests, while others are expected to open in the coming weeks and months.

Here’s a look at the hotels that are either already open or scheduled to open soon, along with their category designation in the World of Hyatt program:

“Based on our intentional growth strategy, we focus on growing in new markets and expanding our base with new developers and owners without creating intra-brand competition,” said Jim Tierney, Senior Vice President of Development and Owner Relations at Hyatt.

One area Hyatt says it is hyper-focused on is airports. According to the hotel chain, the hotel is expanding key airport locations, including:

Booking Hyatt Hotels With World of Hyatt Points

Some of these hotels are already open for guests, while some will open later this fall and winter.

Hyatt is one of the few hotel chains still using an award chart, though it does use peak and off-peak pricing. That means you’ll pay more (or less) depending on your travel dates.

While it’s not the easiest to earn World of Hyatt points, if you have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, you can transfer them to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. Hyatt also offers 2 credit cards — The World of Hyatt Credit Card and the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card — with sizable welcome bonuses and World of Hyatt elite status.

Bottom Line:

As all of the hotels listed above are Category 4 and below, you’ll be able to use a Category 1-4 Free Night Certificate should you choose to stay at any of these properties.

Final Thoughts

Expansion of the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place brands is pretty good news for World of Hyatt fans. While these aren’t the fanciest of brands, they do serve their purpose, particularly for travelers on a budget, for mattress running, or for those who need to be close to an airport!
