Not everyone will be eligible for this offer, unfortunately. Those who are, however, will love the fact they can reach IHG’s top status tier with just 10 nights in the final quarter of 2024.

IHG Diamond Fast-Track Promotion Details

The top tier in IHG One Rewards is Diamond Elite status. Eligible members can enroll here for a shortcut to Diamond Elite, and registration is open now.

Eligible stays for this offer run from October 1 to December 31, 2024. You’ll need to stay 10 nights during this period to secure Diamond Elite status through the end of 2025 — a much simpler task than the 70 nights normally required to reach this tier.

Only paid stays completed after registration are eligible for this offer. Additionally, the property must participate in IHG One Rewards during your stay, which excludes some Six Senses properties, for example.

The offer’s terms say your updated status will reflect in your IHG account within a few days of completing the requirements, and your new status will be valid through the end of 2025. For 2026 and beyond, you’ll need to earn IHG elite status under the standard requirements.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re at risk of losing your existing status or are tempted to take advantage of the benefits of elite status, this promotion is an excellent opportunity for a wide range of folks.

Diamond Elite status is typically earned after staying 70 qualifying nights or earning 120,000 elite-qualifying points in a calendar year, so earning this status after just 10 nights is a no-brainer if you’d like to hold IHG’s top tier.

Platinum Elite status is the next tier down, earned by staying 40 qualifying nights or earning 60,000 elite qualifying points in a calendar year. However, this level is reachable quite easily. You can get automatic Platinum Elite status by holding the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card, IHG^® Rewards Club Select Credit Card (no longer open to new applicants), or the United Club℠ Infinite Card. If you’re looking for an easy path to IHG status, this path could be simpler, might be cheaper, and doesn’t require qualification year after year.

Platinum Elite members enjoy benefits such as:
