Barclays has upped the welcome bonus offer on its Hawaiian Airlines co-branded credit card for small businesses. You can now earn up to 70,000 HawaiianMiles.

While an increased welcome bonus offer is always welcome, this offer is particularly intriguing with the potential merger with Alaska Airlines.

Let’s examine the offer more closely and determine whether it makes sense for you and your travel plans.

Earn up to 70,000 HawaiianMiles With New Offer

Right now, the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard® is offering up to 70,000 bonus HawaiianMiles.

You can earn 60,000 Hawaiian miles after you spend $2,000 on the card within your first 90 days of card membership. Plus, earn an additional 10,000 bonus HawaiianMiles after a purchase is made on an employee card within 90 days of card membership.

We value Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles at 0.9 cents apiece, making this offer on the Hawaiian Airlines Business card worth about $630. But, with the right redemption, you could get much more value out of those miles.

Other top card benefits include:

  • One-time 50% off companion discount
  • 3x miles on eligible Hawaiian Airlines purchases
  • 2x miles on gas, dining, and office supply store purchases
  • 1x miles on all other purchases

The Hawaiian Airlines Business card comes with a $99 annual fee that is not waived in the first year.

Is This Offer Worth It?

Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles aren’t the most valuable, but if you are looking to stock up on them for a specific redemption, this is one of the better offers we’ve seen.

Getting to, from, and between the Hawaiian Islands on Hawaiian Airlines is a great experience. Plus, you can often find lie-flat Leihōkū Suites from the mainland to Honolulu for as few as 40,000 miles.

Another reason to consider this offer is the potential merger between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. If it goes through, and HawaiianMiles are converted to Alaska miles at a 1:1 ratio, you could have 70,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles, which would be worth about $1,120!

We are big fans of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles because they are very versatile but can be hard to earn. We don’t recommend opening this card purely in the hope of scoring some easy Alaska miles, but it could be a nice surprise if the merger goes through!

Hot Tip:

Here are the best ways to redeem Hawaiian Airlines miles for maximum value.

Final Thoughts

The Hawaiian Airlines Business card is out with an increased welcome offer of up to 70,000 bonus HawaiianMiles.

While Barclays hasn’t said how long this offer will stick around, we can safely assume it will only be valid for a limited time. If you’ve been considering this card, now’s the time to apply!
