As we enter the final months of 2025, JetBlue has shared some key updates for its loyalty program for 2026. From introducing its first-ever family elite status opportunity to enhancing earning rates for top-tier Mosaic members, the airline is rolling out several noteworthy changes for loyal travelers.

If you’re a frequent JetBlue flyer, here’s everything you need to know about these 2026 TrueBlue updates.

Mosaic Status Extended by Another Month

If you’re a JetBlue elite member, your status typically ends with the calendar year — but that’s changing.

JetBlue is making a permanent update to its TrueBlue program, extending Mosaic status and benefits through January 31 each year. That means members will now enjoy an extra month of perks, with current Mosaic travelers keeping their status until January 31, 2026, instead of December 31, 2025.

However, qualifying for Mosaic will still depend on all eligible activity and spending completed by December 31, 2025.

Enhancements to Mosaic 3 and 4 Levels

In 2023, JetBlue revamped its elite program into 4 Mosaic tiers. Members essentially earn 1 tile for every $100 spent on qualifying JetBlue purchases, and each tier requires a specific number of tiles to achieve: Mosaic 1 (50 tiles), Mosaic 2 (100 tiles), Mosaic 3 (150 tiles), and Mosaic 4 (200 tiles).

Now, Mosaic 4 members will earn 5 bonus TrueBlue points per dollar spent — for a total of 11 points per dollar on eligible travel booked directly with JetBlue. In addition, Mosaic 4 members will receive an additional 2 Move to Mint certificates, for a total of 4 certificates for the year.

Meanwhile, Mosaic 3 members will earn 4 bonus TrueBlue points per dollar spent — for a total of 10 points per dollar on eligible travel booked directly with JetBlue.

These new earning rates mark a notable bump, as all Mosaic members previously earned 3 bonus points per dollar spent — a rate that will remain unchanged for Mosaic 1 and 2 members.

Launch of Family Tiles

JetBlue is taking a unique approach we haven’t seen from other elite status programs in 2026 with a family-friendly move. On February 1, members can combine tiles earned by their children aged 12 and under to earn Mosaic status more quickly.

Changes to Signature Perks

JetBlue’s elite program is designed for flexibility, letting members customize their experience starting with as few as 10 tiles. The higher you climb in status and the more tiles you earn throughout the year, the better the available options become under the “Perks You Pick” program.

On the other hand, think of “Signature Perks” as the core benefits you receive upon reaching Mosaic 1, 2, 3, or 4. Starting February 1, 2026, Mosaic members can expect the following changes impacting new and existing bookings:

  • Checked bags: Mosaic 2, 3, and 4 members will continue receiving 2 free checked bags. Mosaic 1 members will get 1 free checked bag instead of 2, which is a downgrade compared to the 2025 benefits.
  • Even More seats: JetBlue will start restricting complimentary extra-legroom-seat upgrades for Mosaic members to up to 2 for Mosaic 1 and 2, and up to 4 for Mosaic 3 and 4. Members at Mosaic 2 and above will still be able to select these seats for free at booking and at check-in for Mosaic 1 members.
  • Complimentary alcoholic beverages: All Mosaic members will now receive 1 complimentary drink when flying in Core, a change from the previous allowance of up to 3 free drinks.

These changes were made based on “member feedback and evolving travel preferences.” However, it appears that the airline is shifting the value proposition to those with higher-tier status. Depending on your travel habits and whether you check multiple bags or fly with multiple companions on the same reservation, these 2026 updates may not be good news for you.

No Changes to ‘Perks You Pick’ in 2026

Thankfully, the customizable perks remain unchanged in 2026. Current choices range from perks like a pet fee waiver on JetBlue-operated flights to a 20-tile boost. The 2025 Perks You Pick options will remain in place for 2026, and any perks selected next year will be valid through January 31, 2027.

Hot Tip:

While there are no changes for 2026, JetBlue says travelers should stay tuned for refreshed and enhanced options in 2027.

Other JetBlue Changes in 2026

JetBlue is poised to have a transformative 2026, as several long-awaited initiatives are set to take off. The airline’s DOT-approved loyalty partnership with United Airlines, along with the debut of JetBlue’s first-ever lounges, is expected to redefine its loyalty experience. Travelers can look forward to reciprocal mileage redemptions and the rollout of shared elite benefits between the 2 airlines.

JetBlue’s inaugural lounges are slated to open in its key hubs: Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK). While they were initially expected by the end of 2025, it won’t surprise us if the openings shift into early 2026.

These developments follow the introduction of the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard®, the airline’s first premium credit card. With a $499 annual fee, the card will grant lounge access and offer a faster path to Mosaic elite status, further signaling JetBlue’s push into the premium travel market.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue’s Mosaic program is changing in 2026, and it appears that Mosaic 3 and 4 members will benefit the most. The ability to pool tiles together will be helpful for family travelers, but it is disappointing to see some downgrades to the Signature Perks. This is just the start of the program changes, though, as we await the Blue Sky partnership with United Airlines to officially roll out in the coming months.
