Marriott has debuted its luxury JW Marriott brand in the coastal city of Goa, India.

The JW Marriott Goa has 151 rooms offering balconies with ocean views and suites, which boast private plunge pools. The hotel has 4 dining options: an all-day restaurant, a lobby bar with tea service, and a poolside bar.
Amenities include a spa with Turkish and Moroccan hammams, fitness center, infinity pool, and a children’s entertainment center. The hotel has nearly 19,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event spaces, including a 4,607-square-foot ballroom.
Guests looking for convenience to an airport have 2 options: Mopa Airport in North Goa (GOX) is a 17-mile drive to the hotel, while Goa International Airport (GOI) is a 27-mile drive.
JW Marriott is one of the hotel’s signature brands, emphasizing luxury and well-being. Today, you’ll find JW Marriott hotels in more than 35 countries and territories around the world.
This marks the first JW Marriott property in Goa, a state in western India straddling the Arabian Sea. In a statement, Marriott said that the JW Marriott Goa marked the hotel chain’s 150th opening in South Asia.
“It solidifies our commitment in the region and signifies the trust our owners have in us,” said Ranju Alex, Area Vice President of South Asia at Marriott International. “We remain confident in the strength of our brands, our team, and we shall continue to pave the way for aggressive expansion with our strong pipeline of hotels.”
Reservations at the JW Marriott Goa are now available, and the hotel will participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program. You’ll find the cheapest rates around July 2023, with awards starting at 41,000 points per night. While that may seem steep, especially if you’re planning a longer stay, Marriott Bonvoy points are among the easiest of all hotel chains to earn.
Marriott has several co-branded credit cards that you can use to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points, all of which offer sizable welcome bonuses. You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from several Chase credit cards and Amex Membership Rewards points earned from Amex credit cards at a 1:1 ratio.

This is excellent news for any fans of Marriott or the JW Marriott brand. Goa offers some of India’s most pristine beaches, so it makes sense why the hotel chain would open a resort in the region. With award nights being competitively priced, the JW Marriott Goa will surely become one of the hottest resorts in the area!
