Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is one of the best travel credit cards around.

Chase currently has a massive 100,000 bonus points welcome offer on the card, but it’s ending soon. We haven’t seen this welcome bonus since late 2021, and it’s likely we won’t see it again for a while.

Here’s what you need to know about this welcome offer that’s ending tomorrow, May 15, at 9 a.m. ET.

Chase Sapphire Preferred 100K Welcome Offer

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card is one of our favorite travel rewards credit card — and for good reason.

The card offers several travel perks, from 5x on travel purchased through Chase Travel, a $50 annual Chase Travel hotel credit, fantastic travel and car rental insurance benefits, and much more.

Plus, its $95 annual fee makes it a more affordable option than other cards with higher annual fees.

Eligible applicants can earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. The card usually has a 60,000-point welcome bonus offer, so you’ll earn 40,000 more points with this offer!

There are several things to keep in mind before applying. If you’ve had this card before, make sure to check out Chase’s application rules to see if you are eligble to receive the bonus. To be eligible, you’ll need to meet several requirements:

  • You haven’t received a Sapphire card welcome bonus in the past 48 months
  • You have opened less than 5 credit cards in the past 24 months (Chase’s so-called 5/24 rule)
  • You do not have any open cards in the Sapphire family, such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve®

How To Use 100,000 Ultimate Rewards Points

100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points is a hefty sum. But what can you actually do with them? A lot!

Chase offers a solid lineup of airline and hotel transfer partners, which means you can transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards to other programs, including Emirates Skywards, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, and World of Hyatt.

For instance, if you’ve been dreaming of your first international trip in business or first class, this welcome bonus could come in handy. You transfer 87,000 Ultimate Rewards points over to Emirates Skywards to book a one-way flight between Newark (EWR) and Athens (ATH).

If booking luxury hotel stays is more your speed, you’re in luck.

While Chase is a transfer partner of IHG One Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy, you’ll get the most value out of its partnership with World of Hyatt. That’s because Hyatt still has an award chart — and you can find cheaper prices on off-peak nights.

For instance, the Category 7 Alila Kothaifaru Maldives typically costs 30,000 points per night. But on off-peak nights, that drops to just 25,000 points per night. You could cover 4 nights here with your 100,000-point welcome bonus!

Final Thoughts

This is your last chance to score the fantastic 100,000-point welcome bonus offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, ending tomorrow, May 15 at 9 a.m. ET. We don’t know when we’ll see it again, so if you’ve been eyeing this card and want to take advantage of the limited-time welcome offer, we suggest applying before it’s gone.
