Mastercard has taken the wraps off a brand-new range of travel and lifestyle perks, which are now available across its card products.

Additionally, the credit card network has unveiled a new card tier that will sit above its existing World and World Elite products: World Legend.

Let’s take a look at everything you need to know.

What Is The Mastercard Collection?

The Mastercard Collection is a new group of travel- and lifestyle-focused perks and benefits available on its World, World Elite, and newly introduced World Legend card products.

The new benefits primarily encompass dining, entertainment, and travel experiences — here’s a look at what you can expect if you have one (or more) of these card types in your wallet:

  • Priority reservations at “sought-after” restaurants, in addition to bespoke menus and experiences.
  • Better access to tickets for various sporting events, and a partnership with Live Nation to facilitate access to tickets (including presales) and premium seating for the hottest musical acts.
  • Access to 190 fast-track security screening lanes at more than 30 airports worldwide, access to more than 1,350 airport lounges in 600 cities in nearly 150 countries, and “Mastercard-exclusive dining spaces,” coming soon, that will provide “comfort, locally inspired flavors, and must-have travel amenities.”

The airport benefits piqued our interest in particular because of the mention of the soon-to-be-launched “dining spaces” that also provide travel amenities — that sounds an awful lot like a proprietary lounge concept. However, all of that remains to be seen.

These benefits are available now to eligible World, World Elite, and World Legend cardholders and supplement any other benefits cardholders receive from their issuer.

More information and bookings can be found at priceless.com/themastercardcollection or via your card issuer’s website or mobile app.

A New Premium Tier: World Legend Mastercard

Mastercard also announced the introduction of a new top dog of credit card benefit tiers in its ecosystem: World Legend. Sitting above World and World Elite Mastercard products, World Legend cards are designed for “higher-spending” customers.

According to a press release, the World Legend product has been “[d]esigned for individuals who want access to exceptional and exclusive experiences that bring them closer to their passions.”

World Legend products are now available to banks worldwide and will begin rolling out to U.S. customers in the third quarter of this year, with a global introduction to follow.

Final Thoughts

Mastercard is a titan of the credit card industry. While it doesn’t issue its own cards, it provides a selection of benefits that the issuing institution can provide for cardholders.

Now, Mastercard is upping the ante in terms of the travel and lifestyle benefits it offers, and clearly is targeting the highest spenders with the introduction of its highest tier to date: World Legend.
