Earlier this year, the Mesa Homeowners Card launched as the “first homeowner membership platform,” allowing new or current homeowners to earn points on their mortgage costs and other home-related expenses.

Now, the Mesa platform is getting a meaningful boost, adding 2 powerful transfer partners to its program, opening up numerous redemption options for cardholders.

Let’s take a look at all the details!

Mesa Card Adds 2 Transfer Partners

According to reporting from Frequent Miler, the Mesa card platform has added 2 new transfer partners: Air Canada Aeroplan and SAS EuroBonus. The transfer ratio is 1:1 for both programs, and points must be transferred in increments of 1,000.

This is big news for several reasons. First, Aeroplan is a top frequent flyer program that offers great redemptions on Star Alliance carriers. Second, the addition of Scandinavian Airlines’ EuroBonus is significant. The airline is in the process of integrating into the SkyTeam alliance, which could signal that it is interested in becoming more widely used by U.S.-based travelers. Plus, the program offers attractive premium cabin redemptions between the U.S. and Europe — a huge win for flyers.

Finally, the Mesa card allows holders to earn points at a rapid clip. It awards points according to the following structure:

  • 3x points on home-related charges (including HOA fees, contractors, homeowner’s insurance, home decor, property taxes, etc.)
  • 3x points on daycare expenses (daycare, nursery, and preschool)
  • 2x points at gas stations, groceries, EV charging, and utilities
  • 1x on a linked mortgage, up to 100,000 points per year when you spend at least $1,000 during your statement cycle on eligible purchases with your Mesa card
  • 1x on all other eligible purchases

But that’s not all the Mesa card offers. Cardholders can also access the following perks:

  • Up to $120 annually in Lowe’s credits (in-store and online) when they’ve linked their card to a MyLowe’s Rewards account and make purchases using the Mesa card
  • Complimentary big box retailer memberships, such as Sam’s Club
  • Home maintenance credits with Thumbtack
  • Pet care credits with Wag!
  • Visa Signature benefits
Bottom Line:

The Mesa card has no annual fee, making it pretty much a no-brainer for current homeowners or those who will soon be taking out or refinancing a mortgage.

Final Thoughts

The Mesa card is a somewhat new offering that allows homeowners to earn points on mortgage payments and a range of other homeownership costs. This is a game-changer for homeowners, who can now earn loads of points on one of their highest annual expenses.

And now the Mesa platform is expanding with the addition of 2 interesting transfer partners, Air Canada Aeroplan and SAS EuroBonus, which should give cardholders multiple new options for redeeming their points for great value.
