Casino fans rejoice, as MGM has launched a new premium credit card to help them earn more points and tier credits and receive more value when staying at MGM properties.

If you frequently stay and gamble at MGM hotels, this card might be a worthwhile addition to your wallet. Let’s take a look at all of the details of the new MGM Rewards Iconic World Elite Mastercard®, issued by the First National Bank of Omaha.

You’ll also receive the following perks:

  • 6x points and tier credits per $1 spent at MGM Rewards Destinations; 2x points and tier credits per $1 spent at hotels, dining, gas stations, and grocery stores; and 1x points and tier credits on all other purchases (including BetMGM Deposits)
  • $200 resort credit upon account opening and annually on your card anniversary
  • Annual award night of up to $250 in value when you spend $25,000 on the card in the previous year
  • 10,000 Tier Credit bonus annually at card anniversary with $25,000 in card spend during the previous year
  • Automatic upgrade to MGM Rewards Pearl Status, which includes perks like priority check-in and complimentary self-parking
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, available every 4 years
  • Priority Pass lounge membership
  • Trip delay insurance, no foreign transaction fees, and more

Is It Worth It?

Now that you know everything the new MGM Rewards Iconic card has to offer, you might be wondering if it’s worth it. Well, it depends!

While the card comes with a $249 annual fee, it does offer plenty of value built in to help offset that fee — thanks to perks like the $200 annual resort credit, Priority Pass lounge access, and complimentary MGM Pearl status. Those are on top of additional benefits you can receive through annual spending like an award night worth up to $250 in value and 10,000 Tier Credits toward your next elite status level.

However, determining whether the card is worth it for you depends on how often you visit MGM properties. For those who do, and especially for those looking to achieve a high elite level in the MGM Rewards program, this card might be a no-brainer.

Hot Tip:

Those looking for a few MGM Rewards perks without paying an annual fee might like the MGM Rewards™ Mastercard® instead. You can compare the cards here.
