The high-end Registry Collection brand from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is making its U.S. debut in Colorado Springs. The Mining Exchange is now open for guests.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Wyndham’s Registry Collection Debuts in the U.S.

The Mining Exchange, a Registry Collection Hotel, has 128 guest rooms. It has undergone an extensive renovation and now offers several dining outlets, a spa, an art gallery, and 15,000 square feet of meeting space.

This is the first Registry Collection hotel in the U.S., a handpicked collection of high-end hotels. Most Registry Collection hotels are inclusive and located in Mexico and the Caribbean, so opening a hotel in Colorado Springs certainly raises some eyebrows.

However, the building itself — which dates back to the early 1900s — is considered an icon in Colorado Springs and once served as the stock exchange for gold and silver.

“Registry Collection Hotels provide guests with an oasis from daily life while exploring some of the most stunning destinations in the world,” said Leonardo Danese, Brand Leader, Registry Collection Hotels. “In the case of The Mining Exchange, the hotel seamlessly blends the rich history of its surroundings with unmatched service and elevated décor.”

Booking a Stay at The Mining Exchange

The Mining Exchange, a Registry Collection Hotel, is now open for guests. It is part of the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program, so you can earn and redeem points here.

Wyndham is running a sweet promotion to drum up interest in the hotel. From now through May 31, 2025, you’ll earn 2x points on your stay at The Mining Exchange. You’ll also earn a $25 nightly credit to use at the hotel. You must book by December 31, 2024, to take advantage of this offer.

You’ll find affordable cash rates, which makes booking a room here all the more enticing. For dates this fall, a one-night stay starts at just $145 per night.

If you prefer to redeem Wyndham Rewards points instead, you’ll find awards here for 30,000 points per night. Of the major hotel chains, Wyndham is perhaps the most simplistic. That’s because the program has just 3 redemption tiers: 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per night for all Wyndham hotels.

Hot Tip:

You can transfer points from Citi ThankYou Rewards and Capital One miles if you’re running low on Wyndham points. You also can earn points by staying at Wyndham hotels, having a Barclays’ co-branded Wyndham Rewards credit card, or hosting a meeting.

Final Thoughts

This is a bold move from Wyndham, opening 1 of the few non-all-inclusive Registry Collection hotels in Colorado. Still, it makes sense: The city is known for its many outdoor activities and food scene. If you are in Colorado Springs and looking for an affordable stay, check out The Mining Exchange. It’s now open for guests.
