IHG has announced that it would increase its presence across the U.K. and Ireland with 9 new hotels.
Let’s take a look at the news!
New Properties Across 5 IHG Brands
The new hotels fall across 5 of IHG’s brands and 4 collections. They are as follows:
Luxury & Lifestyle Collection: Hotel Indigo
Premium Collection: voco hotels
Essentials Collection: Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express
Suites Collection: Staybridge Suites
In the Luxury & Lifestyle collection, IHG is adding 2 new properties. The 104-room Hotel Indigo Exeter, which is now open for guests, features a rooftop bar and is located in the city center. Another Luxury & Lifestyle collection property, Hotel Indigo London – K West Shepherd’s Bush, will open in 2026 in West London and will have more than 250 rooms.
Voco Lythe Hill Hotel, under the Premium Collection umbrella, will open in the Surrey countryside this spring. This countryside hotel will have 60 rooms.
The Essentials Collection, which includes brands such as Holiday Inn, will see 5 new hotels: the 73-room Holiday Inn Manchester Oldham, which opened after extensive renovations; as well as the 120-room Holiday Inn Sunderland and the 280-room Holiday Inn Manchester Airport; which have both opened its doors to guests. Additionally, Holiday Inn Express brands have either opened or are in development, such as the Holiday Inn Express Fleet, located outside of London with 76 rooms, and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax, which will open in 2026.
Finally, the 101-room Staybridge Suites Brighton has recently opened for guests in the Suites collection looking for longer stays.
“Being able to grow right across our portfolio shows our relevance in this diverse and dynamic market,” Matt Walton, Senior Development Director of the UK and Ireland, said in a statement. “Whether it’s the promise of a memorable experience, the consistent quality or indeed our attractive loyalty benefits that keep guests coming back — we are honored that they do.
IHG has nearly 350 hotels open in the U.K., with another 18 in the pipeline. Plus, earning IHG One Rewards points is relatively simple if you’re interested in booking a stay at any of the U.K. properties open for reservations.
It’s not surprising that IHG, a British hotel chain, is expanding throughout the U.K. Even better, the hotels currently open are pretty decent for award nights, with some, like the Holiday Inn in Sutherland, starting at just 12,000 points per night.
Staying in the U.K. has become much easier (and cheaper) for IHG fans!
