The JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa is the third in a lineup of recent JW Marriott hotel openings around the world. The JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an Xi’an, China and the JW Marriott Goa both opened just last month.
The brand-new beachfront property has much to offer, so let’s take a closer look.
The JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa has 162 guestrooms, 36 Residences, and over 20,000 square feet of event space. The hotel is within walking distance of Clearwater’s renowned Pier 60, restaurants, water sports, and other entertainment.
Hotel amenities include a full-service spa, a 24-hour fitness center, a rooftop pool deck, and two complimentary beach chairs per guest room. A JW Kids Club is available for the hotel’s youngest guests.
Architects and interior designers shared the common goal of bringing the location’s calming beauty indoors. To accomplish this, guest rooms were designed with neutral tones with hints of natural ocean hues and gemstones.
In reference to the design, General Manager Michael Manzari says that the hotel offers “a mix of luxury, sophistication, and barefoot elegance.”

Executive Chef Inder Suryawanshi and Sous Chef Soumi Hazra, winners of Marriott’s Master of the Craft culinary competition, lead the culinary team behind 3 on-property restaurants.
First is the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Latitude 28. Here guests will enjoy a seasonal menu inspired by locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast and dinner.
The 11th-floor rooftop eatery, The Deep End, serves Peruvian cuisine in its casual, poolside setting.
And lastly, Eskape is a casual beach bar and grille that serves local favorites such as Gulf Shrop Tacos and craft cocktails.
Reservations at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa are now available, and the hotel will participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program. You’ll find the cheapest rates during the summer months, with awards starting at 60,000 points per night. While that may seem steep, especially if you’re planning a longer stay, Marriott Bonvoy points are among the easiest of all hotel chains to earn.
Marriott has several co-branded credit cards that you can use to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points, all of which offer sizable welcome bonuses. You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from several Chase credit cards and Amex Membership Rewards points earned from Amex credit cards at a 1:1 ratio.
