An ultra-luxe Ritz Carlton resort in the United Arab Emirates is reopening after substantial refreshes that added new villas, dining options, and entertainment.

Let’s take a look at the resort and how you can book it with Marriott Bonvoy points!

Ritz Carlton Resort Reopens in UAE Desert

The 108-villa The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, has reopened for guests with several new amenities. Most interesting are its Signature Villas — a 9,000+ square foot suite with butler service — and a restaurant helmed by a Michelin-starred chef. To celebrate the refresh, the resort is offering a pop-up restaurant experience and a concert experience.

The resort is located in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, an hour’s drive from Dubai. As one of Marriott’s most exclusive brands, it’s no surprise the Ritz Carlton has a big presence in the UAE. The brand has 5 hotels and resorts in the country, including a second Ras Al Khaimah resort at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach.

“We are proud to unveil our newly launched Signature Villas and to welcome global icons of dining and entertainment to our resort,” said General Manager Aidan Dempsey. “These exciting additions reflect our vision of transforming the guest experience, offering a unique combination of refined comfort and the raw beauty of nature.”

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, has opened and is accepting reservations.

Rates at the resort vary widely. They start at around $400 all the way up to nearly $1,000 nightly, depending on travel dates. You’ll find the cheapest rates in the low season next year, between April and October.

However, if you want the best deal for a stay here, we suggest booking using your Marriott Bonvoy points. The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, is perhaps one of the best sweet spots in the Middle East, as awards start at just 70,000 points nightly.

Even if you aren’t a Marriott loyalist, earning points to cover several nights here shouldn’t be too difficult. That’s because it’s incredibly easy to earn lots of Marriott Bonvoy points. The easiest way is to transfer American Express Membership RewardsBilt Rewards, or Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott. Additionally, you can open a Marriott Bonvoy credit card or earn points through activities such as dining or car rentals.

Hot Tip:

The resort is running a fun promotion: You’ll get 2 massages and 2 yoga sessions when you use the promo code SPA at booking! Just make sure to check other rates to compare pricing.

Final Thoughts

This beautiful resort should be popular with guests looking to spend their points in a desert oasis. With rates starting at 70,000 points nightly, The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, is one of the best points options in the UAE, if not the Middle East!
