There’s a new luxury player in the Bangkok hotel scene. The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, has now opened for guests.

The Thai capital is already awash with luxury properties, so it’s a no-brainer that Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton brand would plant its flag in the city.

Here’s what we know about this exciting new property.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, Now Open

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, has 260 rooms and suites and offers all of the amenities you’d expect in a 5-star hotel, including an outdoor pool, a full-service spa and fitness center, and more. It occupies a prime spot in the capital, near Lumphini Park, the city’s green lung.

There are a total of 4 dining outlets available, including a signature French restaurant, an all-day restaurant featuring international cuisine, an all-day bar serving drinks in addition to lighter dishes, and a pool bar that will be open throughout the day for poolside bites and beverages.

In addition, this property has a Ritz-Carlton club lounge, which are generally known for being lavish affairs, with multiple food and beverage presentations throughout the day, complimentary alcohol, and more.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, joins several other Marriott properties in the city, including luxury options from the St. Regis, W, and JW Marriott brands.

Booking The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok

Bookings at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok are now available.

Of course, the hotel will participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program, which means you can earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points for a stay.

The best way to find the most inexpensive rates — in both cash and points — for Marriott hotels is to use the “flexible dates” search feature on its website. In cash, you can expect to pay between $400 and $600 per night.

Note, too, that the taxes and fees at this property are significant. In a search for March 2, 2025, without taxes and fees displayed, the cash rate is $440 per night. But when you search for the same room, on the same night, with taxes and fees included, the rate jumps to $516 per night. That’s quite a difference.

If you’re looking to redeem points, you can expect to redeem at least 52,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night, making the property eligible for a 50,000-point free night certificate that comes with certain Marriott co-branded cards (since you can now add up to 15,000 points per Marriott free night certificate).

These cash rates suggest that the hotel is priced on the high side for the city, but the points rates are certainly reasonable considering what the hotel offers.

And, luckily, it’s relatively easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy pointsMarriott offers several co-branded credit cards, all of which offer solid welcome bonuses. You also can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, is now open for guests. In a city famous for high-end hotels, it takes a lot to stand out, but this brand-new property should have what it takes to impress guests — especially those who are loyal to Marriott.

We certainly hope we’ll be in town very soon to check out this property for ourselves.
