Hyatt is expanding its all-inclusive presence in the Dominican Republic by opening a new resort in the popular beach town of Punta Cana.

Here’s what you need to know about the brand-new resort!

New Secrets Tides Punta Cana Adults-Only Resort

Secrets Tides Punta Cana has 688 all-suite rooms and is an adults-only resort. All suites include a balcony or terrace, a minibar, and 24-hour room service. Additionally, all rooms offer either tropical, garden, pool or ocean views.

Amenities include 9 restaurants, 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, a spa, and direct beach access.

“We are excited to announce the opening of Secrets Tides Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, as we expand the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand in a country known for its beautiful beaches and romantic flair,” says Jordi Guillaumet, General Manager at Secrets Tides.

Secrets is part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, which includes other brands such as Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, and Breathless Resorts & Spas. This is Hyatt’s 15th all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. Recent openings include Sunscape Coco Punta Cana and Sunscape Dominicus La Romana.

While many of Hyatt’s all-inclusive hotels can be found in Mexico and the Caribbean, the chain also has several resorts in Europe.

Booking Secrets Tides Punta Cana

Secrets Tides Punta Cana is now open for guests and participating in the World of Hyatt program, so you can earn and redeem points at the resort.

Hyatt uses a different award chart for its all-inclusive resorts than its other properties. This resort falls under Category C, which means award nights start at 21,000 points per night during the low season and up to 29,000 points per night during peak winter months.

Earning World of Hyatt points isn’t easy, but you still have several options, such as opening 1 of Hyatt’s co-branded credit cards or transferring Bilt Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards to the program.

You’ll find cash rates at the resort starting around $600 per night for 2 guests this spring, though you may find cheaper rooms depending on your travel dates.

Final Thoughts

Hyatt has opened a gorgeous new resort in Punta Cana, a popular beach destination that is a quick flight from many U.S. airline hubs. Award nights are pretty decent for the Caribbean, and you can save some cash by booking during the limited-time promo. If you’ve been planning a trip to the Dominican Republic this year, now is your chance to stay at a just-opened all-inclusive resort at a sweet discount!
