Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

If you’re been looking to make some award bookings with Singapore Airlines, you’re in luck as Singapore is now offering a 12% to 15% bonus when you transfer your credit card points into Singapore KrisFlyer miles.

Here are the details of the promotion, along with a couple of great redemption options!

Singapore Airlines Transfer Bonus

So here is the deal, you’ll earn a 12% bonus when you convert between 10,000 to 49,999 miles in a single qualifying transaction, or a 15% bonus miles when you convert 50,000 miles or more in a single qualifying transaction.

Which transferable points are eligible for the promotion? Pretty much all of them! Including:

The promotion is for a limited time through November 22, 2021, and naturally requires you to transfer at least 10,000 points per transfer. Further, there is no maximum to the number of bonus miles you can receive during this promotion.

Here is the promotion page for further details, though there is no registration required to participate.

Great Uses of Singapore KrisFlyer Miles

So is this a good time to transfer your points to Singapore for an awesome redemption? It very well might be! For starters, Singapore Airlines doesn’t release long-haul first and business class award seats to partner airlines, and instead require them to be booked through its own program. So, if you want to fly Singapore’s best products, the only way to do so is to go direct.

Here are a couple of great redemption options to consider!

Singapore Suites to Singapore

If you want to fly one of the very best airplane seats in the sky, Singapore Suites on the A380, booking it doesn’t come cheap. In fact, a one-way ticket in Singapore Suites from New York (JFK) to Singapore (SIN) will set you back 132,000 KrisFlyer miles.

But thanks to the Singapore promotion, you’d only need to transfer 115,000 points from one of the above programs in order to have the 132,000 miles needed to book this word-class ticket!

Singapore Business Class to Singapore

If you don’t feel like springing for the Suites, and know you’ll be plenty happy flying Singapore’s business class cabin, then booking this from San Francisco (SFO) to Singapore (SIN), one of the longest flights in the world at over 17 hours, would cost 95,000 KrisFlyer miles — but only 83,000 points before the transfer thanks to the 15% bonus.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve had your eye on booking some Singapore award tickets for a while, now is a perfect time to do so. While Singapore awards are usually a bit expensive compared to your options with other airlines, there is no doubt that flying cabins like Singapore Suites are a bucket list item for many — so lock in your award while you have a 15% bonus!
