Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

This is your last chance to snag the increased welcome bonus offers on Southwest’s 3 co-branded personal credit cards: the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card, Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card, and Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card.

Currently, you can earn a 60,000-point welcome offer and a 30% off promo code by meeting minimum spend requirements on any of these cards.

Here are all of the details you should know.

Last Call: Southwest Welcome Offer Details

You can earn a 60,000-point welcome bonus plus a 30% off promo code after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening. This limited-time welcome offer applies to the 3 Southwest personal cards and is good through July 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. ET.

We value Southwest Rapid Rewards points at 1.3 cents each, making this 60,000-point welcome offer worth about $780 for Southwest flights.

Additionally, the 30% off promo code will be applied to the cardholder’s account after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months of account opening. It can be applied to the base airfare for up to 8 cash or points bookings (not including taxes and fees), either for one-way or round-trip travel. Best of all, this promo code is valid until October 31, 2024.

However, this welcome offer is not available to current Southwest credit cardholders or anyone who has received one on any personal Southwest credit card in the previous 24 months.

Southwest Plus Card

The Southwest Plus card is the entry-level option, with an annual fee of $69. Benefits of this card include:

  • 3,000 anniversary points each year
  • 2x points per $1 spent on Southwest purchases
  • 2x points per $1 spent on all Rapid Rewards car and hotel partners, local transit and commuting, internet, cable, and phone purchases, as well as select streaming purchases
  • 2 EarlyBird Check-In credits each year

Southwest Premier Card

The Southwest Premier card offers stronger perks than the Southwest Plus card with an annual fee of $99. Benefits of this card include:

  • 6,000 anniversary points each year
  • 3x points per $1 spent on Southwest purchases
  • 2x points per $1 spent on all Rapid Rewards car and hotel partners, local transit and commuting, internet, cable, and phone purchases, as well as select streaming purchases
  • 2 EarlyBird Check-In credits each year

Southwest Priority Card

The Southwest Priority card is the most premium option that comes with an annual fee of $149, however, the benefits of this card can easily outweigh the cost.

  • $75 annual Southwest travel credit
  • 7,500 anniversary points each year
  • 3x points per $1 spent on Southwest purchases
  • 2x points per $1 spent on all Rapid Rewards car and hotel partners, local transit and commuting, internet, cable, and phone purchases, as well as select streaming purchases
  • 4 Upgraded Boardings per year
Hot Tip:

Additionally, all of these Southwest credit cards can help you earn a Companion Pass faster. To get a Southwest Companion Pass, you need to earn 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year. However, Southwest Rapid Rewards credit cardholders get a 10,000-point boost each year toward Companion Pass qualification, reducing the required number of points to earn a Companion Pass to 125,000 instead of 135,000.

Final Thoughts

These elevated welcome bonus offers on Southwest’s 3 co-branded personal credit cards will be expiring on July 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. ET. Not only can you earn 60,000 bonus points, but you’ll get a 30% off promo code after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months — so jump on this one before the limited-time welcome offer comes to an end!
