Marriott International has recently expanded its impressive collection of luxury hotels with a new addition along Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast.

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is the brand’s second location in Florida. The first one is The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach. However, this is the elegant Marriott brand’s debut on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The brand-new beachfront property has much to offer, so let’s take a closer look at this new hotel that also offers points in celebration of a milestone: Marriott’s 9,000th hotel.

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort Now Open for Guests

The opening of The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort marks the brand’s debut on Florida’s West Coast. The resort is situated on Sarasota’s most sought-after coastal barrier island (Longboat Key, as its name implies), with direct access to white-sand beaches and the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If you saw “Key” and thought this hotel is in the Florida Keys, understand that it’s quite far from that region.

The rooms offer stunning views of the ocean, pool, or city from private balconies. They also come with walk-in closets, spacious bathrooms, and ample natural light pouring in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can expect the renowned St. Regis Butler Service at this property, which is a signature feature of the brand.

The property offers a wide range of amenities and an impressive selection of 7 dining options. There are several outdoor pools, a spa, a gym, and a stunning beach right in front of the luxurious resort.

When it comes to dining options, you’ll find a range of tasty options available. From coastal Italian classics to juicy steaks, there’s something to satisfy every craving. And if you’re in the mood for a more laid-back experience, the resort has a casual coffee bar offering a selection of artisanal coffees and freshly made pastries. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick bite or enjoy a leisurely treat.

Hot Tip:

The closest commercial airport to the resort is Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), and it takes just over an hour to get there. More flight options are available from Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), and it takes slightly more than 1.5 hours to travel from these airports to the resort.

Booking The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort participates in the Marriott Bonvoy program and is open now for your next stay.

Cash rates start from $600 per night later this month but can reach over $1,800 per night during peak periods, which are usually during the winter in Florida. If you prefer to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points for a stay, you can expect to pay at least 90,000 per night. With the hotel having just opened, it’s reasonable to expect that cash and points rates will fluctuate in the coming weeks and months.

These cards all come with sizable welcome bonuses and some form of Marriott Bonvoy elite status.
