Hilton is expanding its presence in Hawaii with the announcement that The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki has joined the Hilton Honors family. The move marks the debut of the Tapestry Collection in Hawaii.

In addition to the opening, the hotel is offering several sweet welcome bonus promotions. Let’s take a look.

New Hilton Points Property Debuts in Waikiki

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, boasts 368 guest rooms and suites. They are arranged in various configurations, from lofted bunk beds to 2-bedroom suites, and some feature private outdoor spaces.

Outside of the rooms, guests will enjoy amenities such as the Waikiki Swim & Social Club, a private pool and cabana deck, and an indoor-outdoor restaurant. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk to Waikiki Beach.

Like many resort-like hotels, this one does charge a resort fee. However, it seems to cover a fair bit, including 3 daily credits for beach umbrellas or chairs, or 1-hour surfboard rental; gym access for 2; beach towels; bicycle rentals; neighborhood discounts and perks; and sunscreen.

This is Hilton’s first Tapestry Collection hotel in Hawaii. Tapestry Collection is a portfolio of nearly 160 handpicked, unique hotels that encourage guests to explore “off-the-beaten-path experiences” in destinations worth exploring.

Hilton says the hotel blends “local charm” with the brand’s “globally renowned hospitality and expansive benefits.”

“We’re thrilled to be the first property in Hawaii to join Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a brand that reflects our dedication to personalized hospitality rooted in a strong sense of place,” said General Manager Brandon Kaya.

Booking The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki is now open for guests and is part of the Hilton Honors program, which means you can earn and redeem Hilton Honors points.

And you’ll absolutely want to redeem points here, as they’re some of the best award rates on the island. While cash rates start at $175 per night, we’re seeing dates as low as 42,000 points per night, which is an incredible deal.
