Apply Now(at Amex's secure site)IHG announced the signing of The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool, Vignette Collection, a 133-room hotel scheduled to open later this year.
Let’s dive right in!
IHG pointed to what it called a “gap” in the luxury hotel market for opening a Vignette Collection hotel in Liverpool. This marks the chain’s first upscale property in the area.
Furthermore, the hotel will have a restaurant, a gym, meeting facilities, and a rooftop terrace. It’s unclear when the property will open for guests or how many IHG One Rewards points will be required for a stay.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Vignette Collection to the UK – a new luxury brand in an established market for IHG,” said Willemijn Geels, VP of Development, Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Liverpool’s popularity continues to grow as a hub of culture, and I’m confident the luxury offering of Vignette Collection will bring a new offering to the city.”
If you aren’t familiar, Vignette Collection is IHG’s newest brand, emphasizing “unique stays in high-quality upscale and luxury hotels.”
The Vignette brand has expanded rapidly across Europe recently, including signings in Germany, Hungary, and Portugal. More than 100 properties worldwide are expected to join the Vignette Collection brand over the next decade.
The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool will eventually participate IHG One Rewards program, meaning you can earn and redeem points for a stay.
While we wait for the hotel to open, you can earn and redeem points for a stay at IHG’s other properties in the UK. IHG offers 2 personal and 1 business credit card, all issued by Chase. Additionally, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
When it opens, The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool will join the more than 350 IHG hotels across 8 brands in the UK and Ireland. An additional 21 are in the pipeline. IHG has a sizable presence in Liverpool, with a Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Staybridge, and Holiday Inn.
If you’re planning a visit, you can find some high-end brands in the UK, like the InterContinental Hotels London Park Lane, Kimpton Fitzroy London, and Hotel Indigo Manchester.
