Thirty years ago, John Leonard took a Pepsi TV ad he saw during the Super Bowl seriously: If he collected enough rewards points, he could win a free jet.

Long story short, Leonard never got the jet (despite filing a federal lawsuit against Pepsi). However, Frontier Airlines has launched a cheeky promotion, giving travelers the chance to redeem Leonard’s original 7 million points for 7 million Frontier Miles. Members can turn points from other programs into Frontier Miles for a limited time with this offer.

“We’re redefining air travel, providing real value through the most rewarding loyalty program in the sky,” said Bobby Schroeter, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at Frontier Airlines. “We’re not only giving redemption to John, but also to consumers who have been left behind by other loyalty programs.”

Here’s what you need to know.

Get up to 5,000 Frontier Miles With New Promotion

Frontier Airlines’ new promotion offers up to 5,000 free Frontier Miles
when customers swap their unused rewards points from other brands.

The promotion runs between February 5 and 22, 2026. The full promotion details — including participating rewards programs — can be found at FrontierMiles.com.

According to our latest valuations, Frontier Miles are worth 1.1 cents each. That makes 5,000 miles worth $55. While that may not seem like much, one-way awards in the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico start at just 5,000 miles on Frontier’s award chart.

Which Partner Programs Are Eligible?

A spokesperson for Frontier says there aren’t any excluded award programs. “We’ll honor points from any loyalty program.”

When exchanging points from other programs, the math works like this:

How To Use 5,000 Frontier Miles

Here’s a look at some ways you can redeem 5,000 Frontier Miles.

We’re seeing nonstop flights from Miami (MIA) to San Juan (SJU) for 5,000 Frontier Miles one-way, plus taxes and fees.

You can even book transcontinental flights, such as this one from Atlanta (ATL) to Los Angeles (LAX).

Of course, the cheapest tickets also come with the most restrictions. Frontier is an ultra-low-cost carrier, so services like checked baggage and priority boarding are not included in the base fare. You can avoid some of these fees with Frontier elite status or having a co-branded Frontier credit card.

You can even use your miles for non-flight purchases. Last fall, Frontier added the ability to redeem Frontier Miles for add-ons, including travel bundles, seat selection, early boarding, and more.

Final Thoughts

Frontier Airlines is running a promo where you can turn your unused rewards into Frontier Miles. This is a pretty neat promotion, especially considering that Frontier domestic flights start at just 5,000 miles each way. If you have some unused rewards lying around, consider swapping them for Frontier Miles!
