Viva Aerobus is a well-established Mexican low-cost carrier with a significant presence in the U.S.

In November, the carrier will add 7 new routes to the U.S., connecting cities across the country to Mexico City Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU) — Mexico City’s second airport.

“These connections are helping to boost the growth of this airport, tourism, and opportunities for both national and international travelers,” said Isidoro Pastor, director general at NLU.

Here’s a more detailed look at Viva Aerobus’ U.S. expansion.

7 New Viva Aerobus Routes to the U.S.

Starting on November 1, 2025, Viva Aerobus will launch a total of 7 new routes from Felipe Angeles International in Mexico City to the following U.S. destinations: Chicago-O’Hare (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), and Orlando (MCO).

The addition of these 7 new services increases the number of Viva’s international routes departing NLU from 2 to 9 — that’s a huge increase.

You can find specifics regarding the start date and frequency of each of the new routes below.

Passengers traveling on Viva’s new international routes to or from Felipe Angeles will be able to connect between the U.S. and the airline’s strong network of almost 30 domestic routes from the airport.

Viva already operates flights from several Mexican cities to each of the airports mentioned. However, the new routes will be the only Viva Aerobus services connecting Dallas, Denver, Miami, and Orlando to Mexico City. Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles already welcome Viva Aerobus flights from Mexico City’s Benito Juarez (MEX) — the city’s primary airport.

By flying directly to some of the U.S.’s busiest airports that are dominated by legacy carriers like American, Delta, and United, Viva could have a tall task on its hands attracting point-to-point travelers — especially given that Felipe Angeles is almost 22 miles from the center of Mexico City.

Tickets for the new routes are available to book now on the airline’s website.

Final Thoughts

Viva Aerobus’ 7 new routes to the U.S. will undoubtedly open up new travel opportunities for those living on both sides of the border. Here’s to their success and Viva’s continued international route network expansion.
