Over the years, I have stayed at hundreds of hotels worldwide across every major U.S. hotel chain. Of all the hotel chains I have stayed at, Hyatt is, by far, my favorite.

Naturally, I have The World of Hyatt Credit Card in my wallet, which provides me with much value. However, there is also the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, which I have long considered yet have not applied for.

With its increased, limited-time welcome bonus offer, I think it’s time to finally add the World of Hyatt Business card to my credit card arsenal:

  • Earn 60,000 bonus points and the benefits of Explorist status through February 28, 2026, after you spend $7,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.

Here’s why I finally decided to apply for it.

Is the World of Hyatt Business Card Worth It?

I currently have several hotel credit cards that include an annual free night certificate. While I’ve considered the World of Hyatt Business card in the past, I had previously opted against it since it doesn’t offer a free night certificate as part of its benefits.

However, after taking a closer look, I have decided it is in my interest to get the card now. Here’s why.

1. Welcome Bonus Offer

The main reason I am applying for the World of Hyatt Business card is for its elevated welcome bonus offer. For applications through June 30, 2025, you can earn 60,000 World of Hyatt points and Explorist status through February 28, 2026, after spending $7,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening.

We value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents apiece, making the 60,000 points worth $900 for hotel nights.

The second part of this new welcome offer is interesting. Hyatt’s elite program has three tiers: Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist. Status is earned by accumulating a specific number of elite qualifying nights each calendar year, which include both paid and award stays at Hyatt properties.

The World of Hyatt Business Card typically grants complimentary Discoverist status, which usually requires 10 elite nights annually. However, Explorist status, which normally requires 30 elite nights, is being offered as a welcome bonus to new cardholders — valid through February 28, 2026. Mainly, Explorist members receive 20% bonus points on Hyatt purchases and enjoy access to upgraded rooms (excluding suites).

To reach Globalist — the top-tier status that includes benefits like 4 p.m. late checkout, complimentary breakfast, and suite upgrades — cardholders must still complete the full requirement of 60 elite nights. The primary advantage of the promotional Explorist status is the 20% bonus points on Hyatt spending, which pairs well with the card’s elevated earning potential.

2. Annual Hyatt Credit (Worth $100)

The World of Hyatt Business card also comes with an annual Hyatt credit that helps offset the card’s annual fee. Cardholders can earn a total of $100 in Hyatt credits each anniversary year — issued as 2 $50 statement credits — by spending $50 or more on Hyatt hotel stays.

I have no doubt that I will take full advantage of these credits, as I spend thousands of dollars per year at Hyatt hotels. This credit effectively cuts my $199 annual fee in half.

3. Earn Hyatt Elite Qualifying Nights Faster

With the new welcome bonus offer, cardholders enjoy complimentary Explorist status through February 28, 2026. However, my goal is to earn Globalist status, which requires 60 elite nights per year.

Fortunately, the World of Hyatt Business card also earns 5 Elite Night Credits for every $10,000 they spend on the card in a calendar year. This is an excellent way for business owners with high spending to earn World of Hyatt elite status. In other words, spending $120,000 on the card would automatically earn top-tier World of Hyatt Globalist status, with numerous perks and benefits.

Hot Tip:

You can earn Elite Qualifying Nights by spending on both the World of Hyatt card and the World of Hyatt Business card. It is worth noting that the World of Hyatt card offers 5 Elite Qualifying Nights to you simply for being a cardholder, while the World of Hyatt Business card does not.

4. Does Not Add to Chase 5/24 Totals

Before applying for any Chase credit card, you should know about Chase’s unofficial 5/24 rule. The bank will limit approvals for any of its credit cards if you have already opened 5 or more credit card accounts from any issuer in the last 24 months.

Although the World of Hyatt Business card is subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule, there’s some nuance here. The card itself does not add to your 5/24 count, since it is a Chase business card. Presently, my Chase 5/24 status is 4/24, so I will still be at 4/24 after getting approved for the World of Hyatt Business card.

Since I plan to apply for several Chase personal credit cards in the near future, it is a good idea to prioritize applying for the World of Hyatt Business card before making other applications.

Final Thoughts

The World of Hyatt Business card currently has an increased, limited-time welcome bonus offer that is worth considering. However, you must act fast — the increased welcome offer ends on June 30.

After several years, I have finally decided to apply for the card. I will make sure to take advantage of the card’s numerous perks and benefits that will make my Hyatt stays more enjoyable.
