Wylder Hotel Windham Joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Since Hilton Hotels announced a partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) earlier this year, we’ve been eagerly watching which hotels will participate in the program.

Today, Wylder Hotel Windham in the Catskills Mountains announced that it would join SLH. Here’s what you need to know.

Catskills Hotel Becomes Part of SLH

Wylder Hotel Windham is a family-friendly, all-season resort in Windham, New York. The hotel has 99 rooms and includes an on-site restaurant, pool, outdoor activities, and more.

The hotel is 3 hours from New York City. It’s an hour’s drive from Albany International Airport (ALB), served by Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.

“Travelers have always flocked to the Catskills to enjoy quiet luxury and wide open spaces, and Windham is quickly becoming the next must-visit upstate town,” said John Flannigan, founder of Wylder Hotels. “We love being a part of Windham’s renaissance, and Wylder Windham’s partnership with Small Luxury Hotels is a natural fit for who we are and where we’re going.”

Booking Wylder Hotel Windham

Rates at the Wylder Hotel Windham start at $215 per night for dates this fall, which is a pretty good deal for the Catskills.

Unfortunately, we don’t see the hotel listed anywhere on Hilton’s website yet. That means we aren’t able to determine how many points will be required to stay here. However, if you choose to stay here, make sure you book your room with 1 of the best hotel credit cards.

As we reported earlier this year, SLH joined the Hilton Honors program (leaving World of Hyatt in the process). When the merger is complete, more than 500 SLH properties will be available on Hilton.com and bookable with points. You will also be able to redeem Hilton Honors points and Hilton free night awards at participating SLH properties.

Elite members who book SLH properties will have some of the same benefits as regular Hilton hotels. For instance, Hilton Diamond members will receive a 100% elite tier bonus, free breakfast for 2, space-available upgrades, and a free fifth night on award stays.

Final Thoughts

This is excellent news for SLH and Hilton, as Wylder Windham will soon be bookable with Hilton Honors points. The hotel will give points enthusiasts another option for stays in the Catskills. We’re looking forward to more hotels joining SLH in the near future.
