Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the debut of its Wyndham Grand brand in the Polish city of Kraków.

Here’s what you need to know.

The Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town is a converted townhouse with just 60 rooms. Leisure and business travelers alike will appreciate the hotel’s relative convenience in the center of Kraków Old Town. It’s also close to attractions such as Cloth Hall, Market Square, and St. Mary’s Basilica.

The hotel is located 8 miles from Kraków International Airport (KRK) and less than a mile from Kraków Main Station.

Amenities at the new property include a heated indoor pool, a fitness center, a spa with a sauna, a hot tub, and a salt cave. The hotel has 2 on-site restaurants serving Italian and international cuisine.

“Our distinctive Wyndham Grand brand represents best-in-class hospitality, and the opening of Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town is a welcomed addition to our presence in Poland while also marking an important step in our expansion plans for the country,” said Dimitris Manikis, President of Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Wyndham is one of the largest hotel brands, with 9,100 hotels in more than 95 countries. This marks the first Wyndham Grand property to open in Poland.

Booking the Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town

The Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town is now open for guests and is participating in the Wyndham Rewards program, so you can earn and redeem points there.

Award nights start at just 30,000 points a night for dates across the fall and winter. Cash rates are pretty decent, too, hovering around $155 a night.

Compared to other major chains like Hilton, IHG, and Marriott, earning Wyndham Rewards points isn’t the easiest. Still, you have several options, from staying at Wyndham-branded hotels, earning welcome bonuses and points through spending on Barclays co-branded Wyndham Rewards credit cards, and transferring points from Citi ThankYou Rewards or Capital One Miles.

However, where Wyndham lacks in points-earning, it makes up in redeeming. The program has perhaps the most straightforward award chart, as awards start at 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per night for all hotels.

Final Thoughts

While Wyndham doesn’t get as much love as more prominent brands, the hotel chain has a sizable high-end collection, including the now-open Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town. With award rates costing just 30,000 points a night, this hotel should be a top choice if you’re in Kraków!
