Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the debut of its Trademark Collection brand in South Korea with the opening of La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

Here’s what you need to know.

New Resort Located Near Seoul

The La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham is located in the charming city of Hwaseong-si, South Korea, about a 30-minute drive from Seoul.

Leisure and business travelers will find the new Trademark by Wyndham Hotel’s location ideal. Not only does this new resort provide a vast 330,000 square meters of green space for a peaceful escape, but it is also ideally positioned near the corporate offices of well-known multinational firms like Samsung Electronics, LG, and Hyundai-Kia Motor.

The resort has 190 elegant rooms and a wide range of amenities. These include a 9-hole golf course, a fitness center, saunas, swimming pools, and 3 dining establishments that provide a wide variety of international cuisines prepared by talented local chefs.

“Introducing Trademark to South Korea helps independent owners maximize their opportunity in the market while delivering the incredibly unique experiences each Trademark hotel offers guests exploring the country,” said Joon Aun OOI, President, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Wyndham is one of the largest hotel brands, with 9,100 hotels in more than 95 countries. This marks the first Trademark Collection by Wyndham property to open in South Korea.

Booking the La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, is now open for guests and participates in the Wyndham Rewards program, so you can earn and redeem points there.

Award nights start at just 15,000 points a night for dates across the fall and winter. Cash rates are pretty decent, too, hovering around $109 a night.

Compared to other major chains like Hilton, IHG, and Marriott, earning Wyndham Rewards points isn’t the easiest. Still, you have several options, from staying at Wyndham-branded hotels, earning welcome bonuses and points through spending on Barclays co-branded Wyndham Rewards credit cards, and transferring points from Citi ThankYou Rewards or Capital One Miles.

However, where Wyndham lacks in points earning opportunities, it makes up in redeeming. The program has perhaps the most straightforward award chart, as awards start at 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per night for all hotels.

Final Thoughts

Although Wyndham may not receive as much attention as other well-known brands, the hotel chain boasts an impressive collection of high-end properties, including the recently opened La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. This resort-style property is a fantastic option if you’re venturing outside of the city of Seoul, with award rates costing just 15,000 points a night!
