An additional fee is charged for each overweight or oversized piece:

  • Overweight (Over 50 pounds/23 kg and up to 70 pounds/32 kg): $150
  • Oversized (Over 62 inches/158 cm and up to 80 inches/203 cm in total dimension): $200

Any baggage that weighs more than 70 pounds (32 kg) or measures more than 80 inches (203 cm) in total dimension must be repacked into split-up units within these limits. Your bag’s total dimension is the sum of its width, height, and length. If your bag cannot be split, please contact your local reservation office before you fly and the airline will investigate if they can accommodate your item.

Cathay Pacific does not accept bags that exceed the aforementioned limits without prior approval.

Cathay Pacific does allow passengers the ability to prepay for luggage online or through their Contact Centre for some flights.
