Before the pandemic, Dubai International Airport (DXB) was the busiest airport in the world, serving over 88 million passengers. Although this has since been exceeded by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), DXB still handles more international passenger traffic than any other airport globally.

DXB is a hub for Emirates, with the airline solely operating flights from Terminal 3 (along with its low-cost carrier, flyDubai). The Emirates business and first class lounges are some of the largest lounges in the world, available to premium passengers and elite Skywards members.

For passengers who are not eligible to enter an airline lounge, there are several lounges that offer paid access to all passengers, including the Ahlan Lounges, Marhaba Lounges, and the Plaza Premium Lounge.
