Overall, if you don’t have the best credit score, but use this card thoughtfully, it could be a valuable tool in getting your credit on track while also receiving some great benefits and rewards in the process!

Credit One Bank^® Platinum X5 Visa^®

The Credit One Platinum X5 card offers a hefty rewards structure that’s hard to beat among other credit-building cards. Cardholders earn 5% cash-back up to a $5,000 limit and 1% thereafter on everyday purchases, like gas, groceries, cell phone, internet services, and cable and satellite TV.

Furthermore, cardholders have the chance to earn even more rewards (up to 10% cash-back) if they remember to use their card at the participating retailers. They also get access to exclusive discounts available only to Visa cardholders.

This card is targeted toward people with fair to good credit scores and comes with an annual fee of $95 and a low initial credit limit. The limit of $300 is also minus the annual fee, so initially, it will actually only be a $205 limit.

The upside is that cardholders with low initial balances can expect credit increases based on consistent good behavior, such as paying off your card in full each month and making timely payments.

This card conducts automatic account reviews, which can be a great incentive for paying off balances in full and on time. If you make your payments on time, you’ll also avoid the very high variable APR.

Credit One Bank^® Platinum Rewards Visa No Annual Fee

This Credit One Bank card is pretty similar to the card described above, with 1 major difference — no annual fee! This card also features a decent reward system, but not as good as the card above. You’ll earn 2% cash-back on all eligible purchases of gas, groceries, internet, cable, and satellite TV services, which are regular expenses that you’re likely paying for already.

You also have the opportunity for future credit increases based on credit performance. When compared to other credit-building cards, the rewards structure is high, so it definitely pays you to use your card.

Hot Tip: Because the annual fee isn’t a factor for the Credit One No Annual Fee Platinum card, all rewards you earn on eligible purchases will be money straight into your pocket.

The card does have a very high variable APR for all cardholders, but if you make timely payments, this card is a fine option for those with good to excellent credit.

Credit One Bank^® Visa^® Cash Back Rewards

The Credit One Cash Back card earns 1% cash-back on eligible gas and grocery purchases as well as mobile phone, internet, cable, and satellite TV services. If you’re a high spender in these areas, the primary value of this card will come in the form of unlimited cash-back earning potential since there is no cash-back limit and no annual fee to offset your earnings!

Since this card is targeted toward customers with fair to average credit, it can help you rebuild your credit if you take advantage of all of Credit One Bank’s benefits, like free monthly online credit score monitoring, custom payment reminders, and fraud alerts.

On the negative side, the initial credit limit is low at $300. This card does at least conduct automatic account reviews to increase your credit limit, which can be a great incentive for paying off balances in full and on time. In addition, the variable APR on this card is extremely high.

Credit One Bank^® NASCAR^® Credit Card

If you’re a frequent shopper at the NASCAR shop, this card could be a great way to get rewarded for the purchases you’re already making. You’ll earn double cash-back rewards for purchases from the NASCAR Shop and 1% cash-back rewards on all eligible gas and automotive purchases. Additionally, the card comes with $0 Fraud Liability, so you’ll never be responsible for unauthorized cards and you’ll never miss an account update with customizable text and email alerts.

The annual fee for this card ranges from $39-$99.

Bottom Line: Overall, the Credit One NASCAR card is worth considering if you’re looking to rebuild your credit or strengthen your score, get rewarded for your NASCAR purchases, and want to take advantage of Credit One Bank’s online tools and rewards.

Vegas Golden Knights Credit Card

If you’re a super-fan of the Vegas Golden Knights, Credit One Bank’s newest card might be for you. It is the official credit card of the team and is “the perfect way to show off your #VegasBorn pride.”

You get 1% cash-back rewards on gas, groceries, monthly mobile phone, internet, cable, and satellite TV services. You also get access to deals and discounts that will enhance your game night experience. The annual fee ranges from $0-$99 with a variable APR.

Overall, this card is worth considering if you’re looking to rebuild your credit or strengthen your score, earn some rewards for your everyday purchases, and want to show your team pride.

How to Get Approved

Because Credit One Bank cards are primarily geared toward customers with fair to good credit scores, the odds of approval are relatively high. The annual fees, low initial balances, and higher than usual APRs are designed to motivate good credit performance.

The best part is, you can input your information into Credit One Bank’s card match system. This tool can determine your pre-qualified offers, see which card is the best fit for you, and let you know your expected annual fees and APRs ahead of time.

All of this can be seen without a hard credit inquiry. Since hard credit inquiries can have a negative impact on your credit score, Credit One Bank makes it easy to shop around and see what is best before you make a final decision on which card to choose.

Final Thoughts

If you have good credit (or better), you might find other credit cards with better benefits and rewards structures, however, Credit One Bank has a better-than-average rewards structure for those with less than stellar credit.

Credit One Bank offers many credit-building features and benefits that, coupled with the low annual fees and ability to automatically increase your credit limit, make a great combination. When used responsibly, one of these cards could be the tool you need to strengthen your credit health — while also earning cash-back rewards along the way!
