Choice Hotels’ premium brand Ascend Hotel Collection has announced that it has added 3 properties across the U.S.

The new Ascend Hotel Collection properties are The Harborview in Port Washington, Wisconsin, The Crossroads Hotel – Newburgh in Newburgh, New York, and the 17 West Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Here’s a brief rundown on each property:
“Travelers are increasingly taking advantage of opportunities to extend weekend trips and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely. With more than 200 distinct locations nationwide, Ascend hotels provide ideal accommodations for any getaway,” said Janis Cannon, the senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice.
Choice said it has plans to expand the Ascend Hotel Collection brand, among Choice’s most upscale, to additional locations, including Orlando and Las Vegas “in the coming months.”
Choice Privileges doesn’t use an award chart, and award nights at the chain start at 6,000 points per night. Rates for summer 2022 dates for The Crossroads Hotel – Newburgh and 17 West start at 16,000 points, with The Harborview’s rates starting at 25,000 points.
If you’re low on Choice Privileges points, the no-annual-fee Choice Privileges® Mastercard® earns 15 points per $1 spent at eligible Choice hotels, 3 points per $1 spent at gas stations, grocery stores, home improvement stores, cell phone and landline providers, and 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
The program is an American Express transfer partner and a Capital One transfer partner at a 1:1 ratio, and a Citi transfer partner at a 1:2 ratio.

Fans of the Ascend Hotel Collection brand will be pleased to have more upscale options to earn and redeem points in some popular locations, including Tulsa and the Hudson Valley. And award rates for summer travel are pretty reasonable, especially if you’re saving your points for a bigger trip.
