Here are the specifics of the offer:

• First, you need to be an IHG One Rewards member (it’s free to join online!).
• You need to register for the offer before August 16, 2022.
• The stays for this promotion need to be booked via the IHG One Rewards app and completed between June 16, 2022, and August 16, 2022.
• Earning the 8,000 points total is broken into 2 parts. When you complete your first stay (which can be any length of stay and at any property), you’ll earn 2,000 IHG One Rewards points. After completing your second stay within the promotion period, you’ll get an additional 6,000 IHG One Rewards points deposited into your account, for a total of 8,000 points.

While only stays booked within the promotion period count, you can cancel previously booked stays and then rebook them again so it counts under the offer. Obviously, you’d only want to do this if you can cancel without penalty and the rate is the same (or cheaper).
