British Airways has been offering a selection of Avios-only flights for quite some time, in which every seat on the aircraft is bookable with Avios (the airlines award currency).

Now, it’s Aer Lingus’ turn to get in on the fun, with the Irish flag carrier announcing its first-ever long-haul Avios-only flight that will take flyers from Dublin (DUB) to New York (JFK) and back this fall.

Here’s what you need to know.

Aer Lingus Avios-Only Flight Takes Off in November

Aer Lingus is celebrating 10 years of its AerClub loyalty program and is offering members a special treat: a long-haul Avios-only flight between Dublin and New York, which is bookable right now.

The outbound flight will depart Dublin on November 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. and arrive in New York at 4:50 p.m. The return leg will depart New York on November 17, 2026, at 10 p.m. and arrive in Dublin the following day at 9:30 a.m.

Flights are available for 23,400 Avios plus taxes and fees round-trip in the economy cabin, while a business class seat can be booked for 90,000 Avios plus taxes and fees round-trip. These rates represent a 10% discount compared to typical rates in honor of AerClub’s 10-year anniversary.

Note, too, that members can elect to book an Avios + Cash option, meaning they don’t need to have the full amount of Avios in their account to book this Avios-only flight.

However, it’s fairly easy to earn the Avios required to book this special flight, as the program has partnerships with numerous transferable points programs, including American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Rove Miles, and Wells Fargo Rewards.

Also, you can transfer Avios instantly between all the airline programs that use Avios as their currency. These include British Airways Club, Iberia Club, Finnair Plus, Vueling Club, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
